What's It Like?

The New Lifestyle wig is from the very popular Gisela Mayer range. Gisela Mayer is renowned for quality, modern colours and stylish cuts.

This popular ladies wig is a modern, short style with volume at the crown. This works perfectly with the trendy flicks at the back of this wig. Short, but sassy. This piece also has a Monofilament Crown. This additional feature is perfect in creating a truly realistic finish to your wig. This monofilament area gives the impression that the hair is coming from your own scalp. Gisela Mayer strive to ensure that your look will be as authentic as possible. They have definitely succeeded with this modern and stylish wig from their latest collection.

The fringe is 10cm (4"), so it will sit below brow level. The fringe then perfectly blends into the side layers that fall to a point, just in front of the ear. The main feature of this wig is the textured volume at the crown.....height and lots of movement. This height is then perfectly complimented by the smoothness at the back of the crown. The two contrasting textures of this wig create a funky and sassy silhouette.

Onto the back of the wig and there are soft, textured flicks which add a lovely contour to your look. They can be smoothed down should you prefer. To measure the circumference of your head for your size, simply take your cloth tape measure and measure from your front hairline to just above the ears, to where your neck bends and back around to the front hairline.

  • Average Size: Between 54cm to 57cm (21.25 to 22.5 inches).
  • Large Size: Larger than 57cm (22.5 to 24 inches).
  • Petite Size: Between 51cm and 54cm (20 to 21.25 inches).

Simply Wigs' synthetic hair washing guide
De-Tangle

1. De-Tangle

Lightly brush through and gently remove any tangles using a wide tooth comb/brush. Do not pull or drag the fibre. Be gentle!
Shampoo

2. Shampoo

Fill your sink, or large bowl with enough cool water to submerge your wig. Pour a capful of synthetic wig shampoo in the water. Soak your wig for 3-5 minutes. Gently swirl without rubbing.

3. Rinse

Remove the wig from the water. Rinse the wig under running cold water, until the water runs clear from the shampoo. Either use running water from a tap, or perhaps a shower attachment. It is okay to blot the wig with a towel, but do not twist the wig or ring it out.

4. Condition

Comb through very lightly.
There are two ways to condition your wig:

  • Spray on Conditioner: Simply spray onto your wig after rinsing and leave to dry naturally.
  • Balsam Conditioner: After rinsing, Pour a capful of the conditioner into the water. Soak your wig for 3-5 minutes. Gently swirl without rubbing. Do not rinse out though. Leave to dry naturally. (Please refer to the manufactures instructions for exact requirements)

5. Dry

Comb through your wig very lightly. Place the wig on either a poly head, or a wig stand to dry naturally overnight. Fibre wigs will maintain their style after being washed.

6. Style

When your wig is dry use your fingers or a wide tooth comb to style the fibres. You may also wish to define the layers/curls with synthetic safe styling products.
