Alopecia UK Mad March Walk
What a fabulously inspiring day!
The Alopecia UK Mad March Hair Walk, organized by Alopecia UK was a wonderful success with over 90 attendees. We were all hoping to raise awareness & money for the condition Alopecia. This brilliant, fund raising event was organized by the inspiring Amy, Jen & Jackie from Alopecia UK. To organise an event like this takes dedication, effort & lots & lots of enthusiasm.
We congratulate them on the successful day!
Roundhay Park is a beautiful area. A perfect location to walk proudly & quite fabulously in our pink, yellow , blue, red & rainbow coloured wigs. Lots of wacky wigs sauntered their way through the Roundhay Park landscape. There was a Mohican amongst us that was quite possibly the most brilliant hair design to grace the wig world. A perfect opportunity for the gathered Alopecia community to walk amongst the Sunday dog walkers & the weekend joggers & gently nudge people into thinking about hairloss & the effect it can have on individuals. It was delightful to watch the wigs in every colour possible, meandering though the park lands and ponds at Roundhay Park. Alopecia UK organized the day to bring awareness of the condition & raise funds on the way. They certainly succeeded in their aim! The request on the ticket was to wear sensational wigs, or headwear. I chose the very fetching Gisela Mayer wig . Stuart & I, plus our very lovely daughters loved every minute of Sunday. We met some lovely people, we had fun & we laughed a lot.
Well done Alopecia UK

Is this charity still going? Is there a London address?
