What's It Like?

Simply Wigs Top Tip
Remember not to use heated appliances on fibre wigs. The soft curls of the Daisy will bounce back after it has been washed. There is no need to keep restyling this gorgeous piece!

The Daisy wig from Hot Hair is a stunning, longer piece with lots of soft, tumbling curls.

The fringe measures 8" and will fall naturally to the side. Due to the longer length of this fringe, the Daisy can be worn with an 'open' fringe. A flattering look for all face shapes.

Hot Hair have cleverly designed a MONOFILAMENT circle parting into the crown area of the Daisy. This will create the impression that the hair in this particular area, is coming from your own scalp. Clever stuff!

The crown layers are 15" - 23" and are straighter then the tips of this style. Hot Hair have designed the Daisy with sleeker layers at the top for a more natural appearance.

The overall length from the crown to the tips at the back (with the curls bouncy and not stretched out!) measures 25". This piece will settle mid length - depending upon your particular sized frame. The curls are very soft ringlets and in places can be described as being waves, rather than curls.

The Daisy is an incredibly feminine look with lots of natural movement and sway. Hot Hair have successfully achieved the perfect density for the Daisy. Not too much volume, but enough to have lots of natural movement. Perfect if you are wishing to replicate your own hair.

What's Inside

AN EXAMPLE OF THE INSIDE OF THE CAP
Zoom Roll over the image and click to zoom
A Top and Crown: The TOP area of this wig has OPEN WEFTS. This has been expertly designed to allow the air to circulate, ensuring that it is lightweight & cooler than the traditional caps. There is also a soft, COMFORT strip at the edge of the wig, so that it will sit comfortably against your skin.

The TOP section also has a central strip of patterned, net material. This cleverly extends to the CROWN area. At the crown area is a circular section of sheer MONOFILAMENT. This means that wherever you part the wig at this section, it will give the impression that the hair is coming from your own scalp.
B Temple: Here is a beautifully constructed, OPEN WEFTED area. This design is perfect if you wear glasses, or sunglasses. This section is slightly flexible, so you can adjust until it sits comfortably against your skin.
C Body: To ensure that the wig is airy, the main body has OPEN WEFTS. This means that the hair has been stitched by machine onto very thin strips of elasticated material. This design ensures that the wig is cool & lightweight.
D Nape: The NAPE has a beautifully constructed FINISHING strip. There is also an extended area below. This additional feature is designed to give you more coverage at the nape. It has open wefts, which will help to keep you cooler.

The wig is secured by VELCRO ADJUSTABLE STRAPS. There is up to half an inch give, so the wig can be tightened, or slackened depending upon the size of your head.

Guides: Synthetic Wig Washing Guide,

Simply Wigs' synthetic hair washing guide

1. De-Tangle

Lightly brush through and gently remove any tangles using a wide tooth comb/brush. Do not pull or drag the fibre ….be gentle!

2. Shampoo

Fill your sink, or large bowl with enough cool water to submerge your wig. Pour a capful of synthetic wig shampoo in the water. Soak your wig for 3-5 minutes. Gently swirl without rubbing.

3. Rinse

Remove the wig from the water. Rinse the wig under running cold water, until the water runs clear from the shampoo. Either use running water from a tap, or perhaps a shower attachment. It is okay to blot the wig with a towel, but do not twist the wig or ring it out.

4. Condition

Comb through very lightly . There are two ways to condition your wig:

  • Spray on Conditioner: Simply spray onto your wig after rinsing and leave to dry naturally.
  • Balsam Conditioner: After rinsing, Pour a capful of the conditioner into the water. Soak your wig for 3-5 minutes. Gently swirl without rubbing. Do not rinse out though. Leave to dry naturally.

5. Dry

Comb through your wig very lightly. Place the wig on either a poly head, or a wig stand to dry naturally overnight. Fibre wigs will maintain their style after being washed.

6. Style

When your wig is dry use your fingers or a wide tooth comb to style the fibres. You may also wish to define the layers/curls with synthetic safe styling products.

Questions & Answers

Q. Hello,

My wife has recently been diagnosed with Bone Cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. Unfortunately, her hair is beginning to fall out so we are looking to buy a wig. I don't know how long she will need to wear it for so obviously I would be looking for a hard wearing wig.

I've read on-line that synthetic wigs only last around 9 months, could you confirm this? My wife really likes the Daisy Wig and this is the one we would be looking to purchase. If you could please let me know on average, how long these last for and if you have any tips on how to make it last longer?

Many thanks in advance,
Kindest regards,
Peter.
A. Thank you for your enquiry.

The life span of a fibre wig can vary depending upon lots of different factors. How you look after the wig, what environment you are wearing it in, what quality of wig you have purchased etc.

If the Daisy is well looked after and stored correctly, Hot Hair estimate that two wigs are required per year. This though is an estimate as each individual is different, as we have clients who have had this wig for over 12 months and it is still lovely!

The Fibre Oil Conditioner is popular with our customers to condition wigs. (Take a look at the DImples accessories).

Hope this info helps...please call if you need any more assistance. 01484 844557. Emma.
