What's It Like?

Simply Wigs Top Tip
The blonde shades for the Joy will have a very subtle darker tone at the nape to make it look more natural. Clever stuff!

The Joy from Noriko is a sleek and sassy take on the classic 'bob' cut.

This piece is a MONOFILAMENT, which means that wherever you part the Joy, she will give the impression that the hair is coming from your own scalp. Monofilaments are the ultimate in comfort and realistic appearance.

The fringe is 6", so it is worn swept to the side. The Joy is a pretty, short bob with longer layers that sits just above your earlobes. The longer layers stop just where the piece tapers into the nape of your neck. This gives the Joy a slight 'wedge' look at the back. Sits perfectly into the neck and hugs the hairline snugly. To give a more feminine look, the nape has been expertly 'thinned' out. There is still plenty of coverage though if you are wearing this piece over your own hair.

Why not try and make this style your own, perhaps put the hair behind your ears for a sightly different twist. Classic and timeless style.

The Joy has a poly tape strip, which has beautifully been constructed into the front of the wig. If you wear this piece due to hairloss, this is where you can comfortably secure your wig tape for additional security.

A Top and Crown: The TOP area of this wig has been HAND TIED & is sheer MONOFILAMENT, so that the appearance is as natural as possible. The CROWN area has a closed, flower net material section. This small area has been designed to allow the volume at the crown to stay with you throughout the day, without dropping.
B Temple: Here is a beautifully constructed COMFORT strip. It is a closed, flower net material section which is slightly flexible, so you can adjust until it sits comfortably against your skin. The temple area also has an additional feature, as it has been UNDERKNOTTED. This creates a natural appearance around the ear section.
C Body: To ensure that the wig is airy, the main body has OPEN WEFTS. This means that the hair has been stitched by machine onto very thin strips of elasticated material. This design ensures that the wig is cool & lightweight.
D Nape: The NAPE has a beautifully constructed FINISHING strip. It is a closed, soft material section which will sit softly against your neckline.

This wig is secured by ADJUSTABLE PULL STRAPS. There is up to an inch give, so the wig can be tightened or slackened, depending upon the size of your head.

To measure the circumference of your head for your size, simply take your cloth tape measure and measure from your front hairline to just above the ears, to where your neck bends and back around to the front hairline.

Simply Wigs' synthetic hair washing guide

1. De-Tangle

Lightly brush through and gently remove any tangles using a wide tooth comb/brush. Do not pull or drag the fibre ….be gentle!

2. Shampoo

Fill your sink, or large bowl with enough cool water to submerge your wig. Pour a capful of synthetic wig shampoo in the water. Soak your wig for 3-5 minutes. Gently swirl without rubbing.

3. Rinse

Remove the wig from the water. Rinse the wig under running cold water, until the water runs clear from the shampoo. Either use running water from a tap, or perhaps a shower attachment. It is okay to blot the wig with a towel, but do not twist the wig or ring it out.

4. Condition

Comb through very lightly . There are two ways to condition your wig:

  • Spray on Conditioner: Simply spray onto your wig after rinsing and leave to dry naturally.
  • Balsam Conditioner: After rinsing, Pour a capful of the conditioner into the water. Soak your wig for 3-5 minutes. Gently swirl without rubbing. Do not rinse out though. Leave to dry naturally.

5. Dry

Comb through your wig very lightly. Place the wig on either a poly head, or a wig stand to dry naturally overnight. Fibre wigs will maintain their style after being washed.

6. Style

When your wig is dry use your fingers or a wide tooth comb to style the fibres. You may also wish to define the layers/curls with synthetic safe styling products.
