What's It Like?
Remember not to use any heated appliances on this wig, or your gorgeous look will be frazzled.
The Chicago Mono wig from the Raquel Welch European Collection is a beautiful, relaxed bob shape with an exquisite cap construction.
This piece is a MONOFILAMENT, which means that wherever you part the Chicago Mono, she will give the impression that the hair is coming from your own scalp. Monofilaments are the ultimate in comfort and realistic appearance.
There is also an additional feature in that the fringe hairline has been individually knotted to create an undetectable finish. Just stunning!
The fringe measures 5" . It can either be swept to the side, or if you prefer a shorter look simply visit your hairdressers for a trim. Remember because of the exquisite construction....you choose where you part your look. You are in charge!
The fringe then softens and blends into the side layers that fall just at chin level. The layers are shorter at the side than they are at the back, so they will gradually get longer...a flattering design for all face shapes. For a true representation take a look at the full 360 view.
The crown layers measure 6" and have a slight texture at the tips. The overall length from the crown to the back tips is 9.5". A flattering length for a bob. Not too long & not too short......just perfect. The ends turn very slightly under at the tips creating a softer finish to your look.
The Chicago Mono is a beautiful, modern wig which will be comfortable to wear all day, every day. An utterly gorgeous choice!

The TOP area of this wig has been fully HAND TIED so that the appearance is as natural as possible. It is a sheer MONOFILAMENT piece, which means that wherever you part the wig, it will give the impression that the hair is coming from your own scalp. This wig also has a non slip / POLY TAPE strip, which has beautifully been constructed into the FRONT of the wig. If you wear this piece due to hairloss, this is where you can comfortably secure your wig tape for additional security |

 Temple: |
Here is a beautifully constructed, OPEN WEFTED area. This design is perfect if you wear glasses, or sunglasses. This section is slightly flexible, so you can adjust until it sits comfortably against your skin. The TEMPLE area also has an additional feature, as it has been UNDERKNOTTED. This creates a natural appearance around the ear section. |
 Body: |
To ensure that the wig is airy, the main body has OPEN WEFTS. This means that the hair has been stitched by machine onto very thin strips of elasticated material. This design ensures that the wig is cool & lightweight. |
 Nape: |
The NAPE has a beautifully constructed soft FINISHING strip. There is also an extended area below. This additional feature is designed to give you more coverage at the nape. It has open wefts, which will help to keep you cooler. The wig is secured by VELCRO ADJUSTABLE STRAPS. There is up to half an inch give, so the wig can be tightened, or slackened depending upon the size of your head. |

To measure the circumference of your head for your size, simply take your cloth tape measure and measure from your front hairline to just above the ears, to where your neck bends and back around to the front hairline.
- Average Size: Between 54cm to 57cm (21.25 to 22.5 inches).
- Large Size: Larger than 57cm (22.5 to 24 inches).
- Petite Size: Between 51cm and 54cm (20 to 21.25 inches).

1. De-TangleLightly brush through and gently remove any tangles using a wide tooth comb/brush. Do not pull or drag the fibre ….be gentle! |

2. ShampooFill your sink, or large bowl with enough cool water to submerge your wig. Pour a capful of synthetic wig shampoo in the water. Soak your wig for 3-5 minutes. Gently swirl without rubbing. |

3. RinseRemove the wig from the water. Rinse the wig under running cold water, until the water runs clear from the shampoo. Either use running water from a tap, or perhaps a shower attachment. It is okay to blot the wig with a towel, but do not twist the wig or ring it out. |

4. ConditionComb through very lightly . There are two ways to condition your wig:

5. DryComb through your wig very lightly. Place the wig on either a poly head, or a wig stand to dry naturally overnight. Fibre wigs will maintain their style after being washed. |

6. StyleWhen your wig is dry use your fingers or a wide tooth comb to style the fibres. You may also wish to define the layers/curls with synthetic safe styling products. |
