Overview

What's It Like?

The Nancy wig from the Hairpower Collection is a classic look with gentle waves throughout, graduating to softer curls at the back.

A truly natural ladies wig that is incredibly light to wear.

The fringe measures 10cm (4") and has a gentle wave that cleverly softens your features. There is a subtle lift at the crown and top area, which can be smoothed down for a sleeker look should you decide a change.

The crown layers measure 9cm (3.5") and gradually blend into the relaxed curls at the back. The design of the Nancy wig is very clever in that it looks completely natural. There is plenty of coverage at the neck as the nape measures 7cm (2.75"). The soft waves will gently hug your neckline creating a truly realistic shape.

The Nancy ladies wig is a classic look that is light to wear and very versatile. Ellen WIlle have created a classic!

How's It Attached?

Top and Crown

The TOP & CROWN area of this wig has OPEN WEFTS. This has been expertly designed to allow the air to circulate, ensuring that it is lightweight & cooler than the traditional caps.

There is a soft, COMFORT strip at the edge of the wig, so that it will sit comfortably against your skin.

There is also a centre strip of patterned netting, which extends to the crown. This design ensures that the style of this wig will stay in place throughout the day, without dropping.

Temple

Here is a beautifully constructed COMFORT strip. It is a closed, soft material section which is slightly flexible, so you can adjust until it sits comfortably against your skin. The TEMPLE area also has an additional feature, as it has been UNDERKNOTTED. This creates a natural appearance around the ear section.

Body

To ensure that the wig is airy, the main body has OPEN WEFTS. This means that the hair has been stitched by machine onto very thin strips of elasticated material. This design ensures that the wig is cool & lightweight.

Nape

The NAPE has a beautifully constructed COMFORT strip. It is a closed, soft material section which will sit softly against your neckline.

This wig is secured by VELCRO ADJUSTABLE
straps. There is up to an inch give, so the wig can be tightened or slackened, depending upon the size of your head.

To measure the circumference of your head for your size, simply take your cloth tape measure and measure from your front hairline to just above the ears, to where your neck bends and back around to the front hairline.

  • Average Size: Between 54cm to 57cm (21.25 to 22.5 inches).
  • Large Size: Larger than 57cm (22.5 to 24 inches).
  • Petite Size: Between 51cm and 54cm (20 to 21.25 inches).

How much like the picture is the wig. Would it be possible to trim it?

Hi, the picture has been styled for the photo shoot using a styling aid but it is possible to achieve this look quite easily! And the piece can easily be trimmed to your own requirements.But get someone who is confident in styling such as a professional hairdresser to do it for you.

De-Tangle

1. De-Tangle

Lightly brush through and gently remove any tangles using a wide tooth comb/brush. Do not pull or drag the fibre. Be gentle!
Shampoo

2. Shampoo

Fill your sink, or large bowl with enough cool water to submerge your wig. Pour a capful of synthetic wig shampoo in the water. Soak your wig for 3-5 minutes. Gently swirl without rubbing.

3. Rinse

Remove the wig from the water. Rinse the wig under running cold water, until the water runs clear from the shampoo. Either use running water from a tap, or perhaps a shower attachment. It is okay to blot the wig with a towel, but do not twist the wig or ring it out.

4. Condition

Comb through very lightly.
There are two ways to condition your wig:

  • Spray on Conditioner: Simply spray onto your wig after rinsing and leave to dry naturally.
  • Balsam Conditioner: After rinsing, Pour a capful of the conditioner into the water. Soak your wig for 3-5 minutes. Gently swirl without rubbing. Do not rinse out though. Leave to dry naturally. (Please refer to the manufactures instructions for exact requirements)

5. Dry

Comb through your wig very lightly. Place the wig on either a poly head, or a wig stand to dry naturally overnight. Fibre wigs will maintain their style after being washed.

6. Style

When your wig is dry use your fingers or a wide tooth comb to style the fibres. You may also wish to define the layers/curls with synthetic safe styling products.
