What's It Like?
The Tilda wig from Gisela Mayer is a beautiful, asymmetrical wig which is flattering to all face shapes. The longer fringe sweeps to the side and falls gracefully, slightly longer at the right hand side.
The cap construction is predominantly wefted, so it will be light and airy. There is though a MONOFILAMENT left parting, so there is a natural scalp appearance, in this particular area.
Simply Wigs HQ feel that the style is very similar to the Tilda Mono version, except this Tilda version has more lift at the crown and top area. The layers are casually tousled at the top, so that you are able to run your fingers through the style for a textured look. This wig will look, feel and move like your own hair. It is pointless buying a wig that looks like a wig. The Tilda does not look false, or wiggy at all. She looks sensational.
Here at Simply Wigs HQ, we love the Tilda wig. She has height at the top, which then effortlessly graduates into a fitted neck. Beautiful.

Top and Crown
The TOP & CROWN area of this wig has OPEN WEFTS. This has been expertly designed to allow the air to circulate, ensuring that it is lightweight & cooler than the traditional caps. There is a also a Monofilament, Left parting.
Temple
Here is a beautifully constructed COMFORT strip. It is a closed, material section which is slightly flexible, so you can adjust until it sits comfortably against your skin. The TEMPLE area also has an additional feature, as it has been UNDERKNOTTED. This creates a natural appearance around the ear section.
Body
To ensure that the wig is airy, the main body has OPEN WEFTS. This means that the hair has been stitched by machine onto very thin strips of elasticated material. This design ensures that the wig is cool & lightweight.
Nape
The NAPE has a beautifully constructed soft FINISHING strip. The wig is secured by VELCRO ADJUSTABLE STRAPS. There is up to half an inch give, so the wig can be tightened, or slackened depending upon the size of your head.

To measure the circumference of your head for your size, simply take your cloth tape measure and measure from your front hairline to just above the ears, to where your neck bends and back around to the front hairline.
- Average Size: Between 54cm to 57cm (21.25 to 22.5 inches).

- Petite Size: Between 51cm and 54cm (20 to 21.25 inches).

- How To
Simply Wigs' synthetic hair washing guide 
1. De-Tangle
Lightly brush through and gently remove any tangles using a wide tooth comb/brush. Do not pull or drag the fibre. Be gentle!
2. Shampoo
Fill your sink, or large bowl with enough cool water to submerge your wig. Pour a capful of synthetic wig shampoo in the water. Soak your wig for 3-5 minutes. Gently swirl without rubbing.
3. Rinse
Remove the wig from the water. Rinse the wig under running cold water, until the water runs clear from the shampoo. Either use running water from a tap, or perhaps a shower attachment. It is okay to blot the wig with a towel, but do not twist the wig or ring it out.
4. Condition
Comb through very lightly.
There are two ways to condition your wig:- Spray on Conditioner: Simply spray onto your wig after rinsing and leave to dry naturally.
- Balsam Conditioner: After rinsing, Pour a capful of the conditioner into the water. Soak your wig for 3-5 minutes. Gently swirl without rubbing. Do not rinse out though. Leave to dry naturally. (Please refer to the manufactures instructions for exact requirements)
5. Dry
Comb through your wig very lightly. Place the wig on either a poly head, or a wig stand to dry naturally overnight. Fibre wigs will maintain their style after being washed.
6. Style
When your wig is dry use your fingers or a wide tooth comb to style the fibres. You may also wish to define the layers/curls with synthetic safe styling products.
