How do I measure my head for a wig?

You will need a cloth tape measure. If you have any hair, push back the hair so there's no added length or volume. Start at the centre of your forehead where your natural hairline is, and you are going to measure the circumference. Drop behind the ears, to the nape, and then back up around the opposite side of your head meeting back at your starting point. And don't worry if your head circumference measures in between the average sizes as there are adjustable straps at the back of each wig to ensure a perfect fit.

How does the wig stay on my head?

Please feel confident that your wig will remain on your head, if you have measured your head correctly and you are wearing the correct size wig. Wigs are available in Petite, Average & Large. How do you put a wig on?

It may sound daunting, but in fact it is very easy and you will soon get used to it. <ol><li>Place the front section of the wig at your front hairline and pull it back over your head. </li><li>Shuffle into position at your nape until comfortable. </li><li>Lift your head up straight and then position the ear tabs until they are just infront of your ears and laying flat. </li><li>Next, go the the fringe area and adjust so that the wig is not too far back and not too far forward.</li><li>Finally, once the wig is in position, gently pat it down to ensure it lays smoothly against your scalp. </li></ol>

Here are the measurements, so you can judge how this lovely wig, will sit against your own features. The longer, side swept fringe measures approximately 23cm. There is some subtle weight to the fringe, so it sweeps naturally and stays there. A perfect design so you do not have to keep fussing with your fringe every day. The crown layers are about 26cm, whilst the nape is 9cm. The overall length will sit below chin level and although the layers are straightish, the finish is not blunt. It has a natural wave which creates a lovely silhouette. If you take a look at the back of the wig, the layers are slightly rounded. They do not sit flat against the back of your head, but they have a lovely bevelled feel to them.

The density is light to medium, so you have a softness, coupled with a subtle weight. You can swish to your hearts content, without any fear of any cap construction showing through the fibres.

The Carson has a cap which we have rated very comfortable. The main body is made from wefts, which will allow for ventilation against your head. There is a left monofilament parting, which means that the parting will have to stay on the left and then the fringe will sweep to the right. There is a section of patterned material, surrounding the parting, which will support the style ensuring that the shape will not droop. There is also a fine and compact Lace Front. This will allow you to have more confidence with your fringe, as you can be reassured that no unsightly wig edge will show.

The cap is an Average size, with about an inch give at the nape. You can tighten or slacken the circumference by tightening up the adjusters at the nape.

Overall we are delighted with the Carson, as the latest bob addition to the Rene of Paris collection. A stylish bob, with sway and style. This new wig is also available in some fabulous new colours. Celebration times all around!
