Simply Wigs supporting Sarah in her Charity Wig fundraiser to raise money for
Macmillan Cancer Trust
Hello everyone,
This is my charity wig fundraiser. I’m Sarah Harneiss and I work in Lincolnshire as a Business Manager for Sodexo. Having coloured my hair for many years causing it damage, I felt it was time to go back to my roots, as they say, to see just what colour my hair is now. Having given it much thought, I decided to have it shaved off to raise money for charity.
So on September 12th with my daughters & grandson there for support, I had all my hair shaved off. So far with donations from family, friends & work colleagues I have raised over £800 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
This is a very worthwhile cause as I’m sure, like me, you know family, friends or work colleagues that either have, survived or sadly died of cancer. Macmillan provides the support and care not only for them but also their families and relies on these donations to continue to do a great job. I’m really pleased I did it for them.
Thank you to Simply Wigs for all their advice that they gave me on choosing a wig and of course, their generous donation and the charity wig that they provided. Also thanks to Jack, at Re-Invention in Louth, for donating and shaving my hair off for free.
All of us at Simply Wigs would just like to say Well Done to Sarah. A fabulous achievement for a fabulous cause. We have donated £100 to the Macmillan Cancer Trust, who help raise awareness and provide practical, medical and financial support and push for better cancer care.
