Overview

What's It Like?

The Crushing On Casual wig by Raquel Welch is a short, sweet and super stylish short cut wig. The feathered layers and side swept fringe will leave you feeling fabulous all day long!

The fringe which measures 10cm, can be worn swept to the side or brushed back for a softer look. The fringe blends beautifully into the short, side layers which fall in front of your ears, gently contouring into a subtle point.

The fringe and the side layers are balanced out beautifully by the subtle volume at the crown area. The crown layers measure 11cm and can be smoothed down, or tousled for a different look. The neckline of the Crushing On Casual will fit snugly against your nape. The neckline measures 5cm, so it will be a snug and close fit.

The new Memory Cap III is ultra light, comfortable and secure. The TOP area of this wig has been fully HAND TIED so that the appearance is as natural as possible. It is a sheer MONOFILAMENT piece, which means that wherever you part the wig, it will give the impression that the hair is coming from your own scalp. There is an additional feature of a FULL LACE FRONT. This is the ultimate for a natural hairline, creating an undetectable finish.

How's It Attached?

Top and Crown

The TOP area of this wig has been fully HAND TIED so that the appearance is as natural as possible. It is a sheer MONOFILAMENT piece, which means that wherever you part the wig, it will give the impression that the hair is coming from your own scalp.

There is an additional feature of a FULL LACE FRONT. This is the ultimate for a natural hairline, creating an undetectable finish.

Temple

Here is a beautifully constructed COMFORT strip. It is a closed, soft material section which is slightly flexible, so you can adjust until it sits comfortably against your skin. 

Body

To ensure that the wig is airy, the main body has OPEN WEFTS. This means that the hair has been stitched by machine onto very thin strips of elasticated material. This design ensures that the wig is cool & lightweight.

The WEFTS also have strips of SILICONE for a more secure and comfortable fit. This is perfect if you have complete hairloss.

Nape

The NAPE has a beautifully constructed COMFORT strip. It is a closed, soft material section which will sit softly against your neckline.

This wig is secured by VELCRO ADJUSTABLE
straps. There is up to an inch give, so the wig can be tightened or slackened, depending upon the size of your head.

To measure the circumference of your head for your size, simply take your cloth tape measure and measure from your front hairline to just above the ears, to where your neck bends and back around to the front hairline.

  • Average Size: Between 54cm to 57cm (21.25 to 22.5 inches).

De-Tangle

1. De-Tangle

Lightly brush through and gently remove any tangles using a wide tooth comb/brush. Do not pull or drag the fibre. Be gentle!
Shampoo

2. Shampoo

Fill your sink, or large bowl with enough cool water to submerge your wig. Pour a capful of synthetic wig shampoo in the water. Soak your wig for 3-5 minutes. Gently swirl without rubbing.

3. Rinse

Remove the wig from the water. Rinse the wig under running cold water, until the water runs clear from the shampoo. Either use running water from a tap, or perhaps a shower attachment. It is okay to blot the wig with a towel, but do not twist the wig or ring it out.

4. Condition

Comb through very lightly.
There are two ways to condition your wig:

  • Spray on Conditioner: Simply spray onto your wig after rinsing and leave to dry naturally.
  • Balsam Conditioner: After rinsing, Pour a capful of the conditioner into the water. Soak your wig for 3-5 minutes. Gently swirl without rubbing. Do not rinse out though. Leave to dry naturally. (Please refer to the manufactures instructions for exact requirements)

5. Dry

Comb through your wig very lightly. Place the wig on either a poly head, or a wig stand to dry naturally overnight. Fibre wigs will maintain their style after being washed.

6. Style

When your wig is dry use your fingers or a wide tooth comb to style the fibres. You may also wish to define the layers/curls with synthetic safe styling products.
