What's It Like?

The Extra wig from Gisela Mayer is a fun, short style with lots of pretty textures.

The TOP area of this wig has OPEN WEFTS which have been covered by a fine, net material. This has been expertly designed to allow the air to circulate, ensuring that it is lightweight & cooler than the traditional caps. The TOP section also has a small MONOFILAMENT crown section.

Gisela Mayer have made the fringe 8cm, so it will sit at brow level. This then perfectly blends into the textured and feathered layers that will softly fall onto your face.

The main body of the Extra wig has lots of texture. The crown layers which measure 14cm, are slightly straighter than the back layers. The back layers, gently flick out and create a stylish and funky silhouette.

The nape sits at 5cm, so it will gently hug your neckline. It has been expertly thinned out, so there is not too much weight at the neckline.

The Extra wig is a short cut, but has lots of styling options because of the choppy layers. Simply use styling products to either tousle up, or smooth down.

Please note - Gisela Mayer wigs are ordered from Germany, on a Tuesday and Thursday. Deliveries are normally at our warehouses within 48-72 hours. Please take this into consideration when you are purchasing.

How's It Attached?

Top and Crown	The TOP area of this wig has OPEN WEFTS which have been covered by a fine, net material. This has been expertly designed to allow the air to circulate, ensuring that it is lightweight & cooler than the traditional caps. The TOP section also has a small MONOFILAMENT crown section.
Temple	Here is a beautifully constructed, OPEN WEFTED area. This design is perfect if you wear glasses, or sunglasses. This section is slightly flexible, so you can adjust until it sits comfortably against your skin.
Body	To ensure that the wig is airy, the main body has OPEN WEFTS. This means that the hair has been stitched by machine onto very thin strips of elasticated material. This design ensures that the wig is cool & lightweight.
Nape	The NAPE has a beautifully constructed COMFORT strip. It is a closed, soft material section which will sit softly against your neckline. The wig is also secured by VELCRO ADJUSTABLE STRAPS. There is up to half an inch give, so the wig can be tightened, or slackened depending upon the size of your head.

To measure the circumference of your head for your size, simply take your cloth tape measure and measure from your front hairline to just above the ears, to where your neck bends and back around to the front hairline.

Average Size: Between 54cm to 57cm (21.25 to 22.5 inches).
Large Size: Larger than 57cm (22.5 to 24 inches).
Petite Size: Between 51cm and 54cm (20 to 21.25 inches).

How To

Simply Wigs' synthetic hair washing guide
	1. De-Tangle Lightly brush through and gently remove any tangles using a wide tooth comb/brush. Do not pull or drag the fibre. Be gentle!
	2. Shampoo Fill your sink, or large bowl with enough cool water to submerge your wig. Pour a capful of synthetic wig shampoo in the water. Soak your wig for 3-5 minutes. Gently swirl without rubbing.
	3. Rinse Remove the wig from the water. Rinse the wig under running cold water, until the water runs clear from the shampoo. Either use running water from a tap, or perhaps a shower attachment. It is okay to blot the wig with a towel, but do not twist the wig or ring it out.
	4. Condition Comb through very lightly. There are two ways to condition your wig: Spray on Conditioner: Simply spray onto your wig after rinsing and leave to dry naturally. Balsam Conditioner: After rinsing, Pour a capful of the conditioner into the water. Soak your wig for 3-5 minutes. Gently swirl without rubbing. Do not rinse out though. Leave to dry naturally. (Please refer to the manufactures instructions for exact requirements)
	5. Dry Comb through your wig very lightly. Place the wig on either a poly head, or a wig stand to dry naturally overnight. Fibre wigs will maintain their style after being washed.
	6. Style When your wig is dry use your fingers or a wide tooth comb to style the fibres. You may also wish to define the layers/curls with synthetic safe styling products.
