The TOP & CROWN area of this wig has a sheer, left HANDTIED MONOFILAMENT PARTING. This creates the impression that the hair in this particular area, looks like it is coming from your own scalp.
There is also a small pre cut LACE FRONT so that the hairline appears virtually invisible.
Here is a beautifully constructed COMFORT strip. It is a closed, soft material section which is slightly flexible, so you can adjust until it sits comfortably against your skin.
To ensure that the wig is airy, the main body has OPEN WEFTS. This means that the hair has been stitched by machine onto very thin strips of elasticated material. This design ensures that the wig is cool & lightweight.
The NAPE has a beautifully constructed soft FINISHING strip.
The wig is secured by VELCRO ADJUSTABLE STRAPS. There is up to half an inch give, so the wig can be tightened, or slackened depending upon the size of your head.
Want to learn more about the different cap types?
Read our wig cap guideLace fronts can be either pre-cut or uncut. Most of our lace styles at Simply Wigs are pre-cut lace so there is no need to get your scissors out. For the uncut lace wig styles, use sharp scissors and trim any excess lace from the front of the wig. Aim to cut close to the knots but not so close that you unpick the fibre.Â
Uncut lace front - trimming the lace front on a wig is an important step to ensure a natural-looking hairline. You will need sharp scissors, a wig stand or mannequin and hair clips.
- Place the wig on a wig stand or mannequin head to keep it steady during the trimming process. If you don't have a stand, you can hold the wig securely in your hand.
- Use hair clips to pin back any excess hair that may get in the way while trimming.
- Carefully use sharp scissors to cut close to the knotted hairline. Take your time and make small, precise cuts to avoid cutting too much lace. It's better to cut a little at a time and check the progress frequently.
Buying a wig for the first time can be an exciting experience, but it's important to consider a few key factors to ensure you make the right choice.
1. Determine Your Needs Style:
Think about the style you want (e.g., bob, long, curly) and consider whether it's for daily wear, special occasions, or to manage hair loss.
2. Choose the Type of Wig
Human Hair, Synthetic or a blend. Human hair wigs look natural and can be styled like your own hair, but they're usually more expensive. Synthetic wigs are more affordable and come pre-styled but may not last as long. Consider cap construction and look for options like lace front, full lace, or monofilament for a more realistic look and comfortable fit.
3. Find Your Size
Measure Your Head: Use a flexible measuring tape to measure around your head, from the front hairline, over the ears, and around the nape of your neck. Most wigs come in standard sizes (small, medium, large).
Adjustable Straps: Many wigs have adjustable straps to ensure a snug fit.
4. Consider the Cost
Wigs can vary significantly in price. Determine how much you're willing to spend and explore options within that range and keep an eye out for discounts or promotions!

Human Hair wigs provide more versatility and they will feel very much like your own bio hair. They are though more expensive and require a lot of maintenance.
- Natural Appearance: Human hair wigs offer the most natural look and feel because they are made from real hair. They can be styled and dyed just like your own hair, providing versatility.
- Durability: With proper care, human hair wigs can last longer than synthetic wigs. They are more resistant to heat damage and can withstand regular styling.
- Comfort: Human hair wigs are often more breathable and comfortable to wear, especially in warm weather, due to their natural properties.
Synthetic wigs are more affordable and will maintain their shape throughout the day, without high maintenance.
- Affordability: Synthetic wigs are generally more affordable than human hair wigs, making them a budget-friendly option.
- Low Maintenance: Synthetic wigs require minimal styling and upkeep. They hold their style well, even after washing, and typically don't need restyling.
- Colour Options: Synthetic wigs come in a wide range of pre-styled colours and textures, offering versatility without the need for additional styling.

Human hair wigs offer a natural appearance and allow for a wide range of styling possibilities, just like your own bio hair. However, they are more costly and require more maintenance
to keep them looking their best.
Alternatively, synthetic wigs are more affordable and generally require less upkeep. They often come pre-styled, so they're ready to wear right out of the box. However, they may have limitations when it comes to heat styling, and the synthetic fibres can sometimes appear less natural compared to human hair.
Ultimately, the choice between human hair and synthetic wigs depends on your priorities, budget, and styling preferences. If you value versatility and a natural look and don't mind investing more time and money into maintenance, a human hair wig may be the way to go. But if convenience and affordability are key factors for you, a synthetic wig could be the perfect choice.

A small amount of shedding is normal.
Shedding is a natural occurrence with wigs, just like it is with natural hair. A few strands here and there are nothing to worry about. However, if you notice excessive shedding, it could be due to a few factors.
- Firstly, be mindful of how you're caring for your wig. Brushing too vigorously or using harsh products can indeed contribute to increased shedding. Opt for a gentle touch and use products specifically designed for human hair wig care to maintain its quality.
- In very rare cases, excessive shedding might be a sign of a manufacturing issue, like a faulty wig.
