Reporting for Simply Wigs at the studios in Huddersfield.
Today, from the buzzing corridors of the Simply Wigs offices in Huddersfield, we find the team are celebrating the launch of the new Amber PETITE from the Gem collection. Intrepid reporter Emma-Louise (that’s me!) gets to talk to the director of SW brand and also takes a look at what is making this collection the popular choice among their customers.
New Amber Petite Wig
Simply put, the Gem Wigs Collection is part of the fabulous Trendco range. This is a 100% Human Hair wig collection, that is constructed on hand tied bases. Hand tied bases create a more natural and realistic look, so the Gem Collection will look and feel just like your own hair. There is a combination of styled or unstyled shapes, so you can choose how you want to personalise your look.
I spoke earlier to the owner from Simply Wigs, who said;
‘ We love receiving ‘Our Beautiful Customer’ photographs, from our fabulous wig wearing community. They are so important to SW, as they show our wigs off on actual people, not just in studios with models. In our inbox this week, is this gorgeous photo of Tara (below) wearing the Gem Collection Amber Human Hair wig in colour Medium Brown with Honey Highlights. This is such a pretty style and it really does look so natural. I thought it would be apt to show you this beautiful photo, as SW have just launched this stunning wig in a PETITE version as well. For all of our lovely customers, who measure just smaller than Average, take a look at this beautiful new wig ‘
After hearing these comments and taking a more in depth look at the whole collection, I have to agree with all the speculation and hype. This collection rocks!!
This has been Emma Louise reporting from the Simply Wigs Studios in Huddersfield – thank you xx

Hi,
I’m not commenting on this particular collection. What I did want to say is that, on the photos of models, the hairline of the wigs is, often, hidden. It would be nice to see what, particularly, the lace front wigs look like. Also, most of the wigs are blonde, which have less obvious knotting, at the front.
It would be nice if more wigs carried lighter highlights at the front edges of the wig.
I, also, think that the synthetic ‘scalp’ material and lace fronts can be too shiny! It makes the wigs look less ‘natural’ looking. Are any of the wig manufacturers developing more convincing bases?
Tips for concealing this ‘shine’ would be useful. Also, smaller knots at the front of, particularly, dark wigs, would be nice.
I’m sure that more people would buy wigs/be prepared to pay a bit more for more natural hairlines.
Just a thought.
Love this, Emma-Louise! Really interesting, and HOW AMAZING does Tara look?! Oh wow!
The hair is sooooo beautiful. I love that Trendco have launched a petite version of Amber for all those lovely people with beautiful petite heads!
Thanks for the fab insight and info honey x x x. X
