Supporting Our Northern Charities

At Simply Wigs, we pride ourselves on the open and supportive nature of our community, who are eager to share their love of our wigs and forthcoming with their hair loss stories and solutions. While some of the Simply Wigs community started their wig journeys after undergoing hormonal changes or experiencing alopecia, many of our customers are cancer patients who have survived or are still battling the illness.

Their bravery is at the heart of our company, and their commitment to nurturing their fabulousness against the odds is an inspiration to our wig-wearing community. In honour of these incredible women, we wanted to highlight the work of five fantastic charities that are making a real difference in their communities.

What’s it all about?

Meet the Honley Ladies Choir!

Do you love to sing almost as much as you love flaunting your fabulousness through your gorgeous hairpieces and headwear? Then the Abreast The M62 collaborative project might be right up your street! On Saturday, 4th October 2025, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Honley Ladies Choir will be travelling the M62 from east to west, working with Breast Cancer charities to raise awareness while using music to unite communities impacted by the illness.

At Simply Wigs, we share the Honley Ladies’ belief in the incredible power of music and its ability to bring people together in the most meaningful ways. Singing with a shared purpose has brought encouragement, healing and support to so many, and now the Honley Ladies Choir is channelling that same energy into something even bigger.

This bold and inspiring event uses the universal language of music to unite communities all along the M62, a landmark that links our communities both literally and emotionally. Together with the Honley Ladies, Simply Wigs is proud to stand with five charities doing vital work in the fight against breast cancer:

The Author - Emma

Welcome to Simply Wigs, and thank you so much for being here. My name is Emma, and coupled with my husband Stuart, we started this company from our kitchen table in 2002. We began as our family was thrown into the world of hair loss, and we wanted to create a company where support, education, and hair loss options, were available together in one inclusive place. Simply Wigs is now more than just a wig retailer; it represents my mission to provide support, understanding, and high quality wigs to those experiencing hair loss. I have always prioritised creating personal connections with our customers. My vision is to foster a sense of community and trust, ensuring every customer feels valued and understood. This personal touch has been a cornerstone of our Simply Wigs business philosophy and remains integral as our company continues to grow. I hope that Simply Wigs plays a supportive, encouraging and inspiring part of your life, as you navigate the world of hair loss.
