Welcome to the New Look Simply Wigs Blog!
What's In This Article
You may have noticed that things look a little different around here!
Our Simply Wigs blog, Whispers from a Wig Wearer, has been given a fresh new look. It is now brighter, clearer and much easier to explore, while keeping the warmth, honesty and community spirit that make it so special. Whispers is a place for real experiences, practical wig advice, hair loss support, honest opinions and helpful tips. Most importantly, it is somewhere nobody should ever feel alone.
The Same Friendly Blog, Made Easier to Explore
With hundreds of articles covering wig wearing and hair loss, finding the right advice was not always easy. Our new design changes that. Clearer navigation now helps you quickly find the support, guidance or information you need, whether you are choosing your first wig, looking for hair loss advice or caring for a favourite style.
1. Explore Our New Blog Categories
Many of these sections also include more specific categories, helping you narrow things down even further. For example, our community area includes customer hair loss stories, competitions and the people our customers would like to thank and celebrate.
2. A Much Better Blog Search
Sometimes, you know exactly what you are looking for.
You may want advice about an itchy wig, securing your style on a windy day, choosing a wig cap or caring for synthetic hair during the summer. Rather than scrolling through page after page, you can now use the blog search to look for the subject that matters to you.
Enter a few words and let the blog do the searching for you.
It is a small change that we hope will make a very big difference, particularly for anyone who needs an answer quickly or may already be feeling a little overwhelmed.
Try the new search now!
3. Helpful Filters Within Each Catergory
Our filters have also been redesigned.
When you visit an area such as New Wig Wearers or Our Community, you will find helpful filters that allow you to choose a more specific subject. This makes it easier to separate general wig advice from articles for young wig wearers, male wig wearers, customer stories, competitions and other topics.
You can browse the latest articles first and then select Show more whenever you would like to continue exploring.
We have also added a short introduction to each main section, so you can quickly understand what type of information, guidance and stories you will find there.
4. Reading Time at a Glance
We know that life can be busy.
Each article preview now shows an estimated reading time alongside its publication date. This means you can see whether you have time for a quick three-minute read or whether you might prefer to save a longer guide for a quiet cup of tea later.
You can also see how many comments an article has received. The conversations beneath our customer stories and advice articles are often every bit as supportive and helpful as the original post, so we would always encourage you to have a little read.
Meet the People Behind the Articles
Our blog contains advice from the Simply Wigs team, experienced wig wearers, knowledgeable contributors and, most importantly, our wonderful customers.
The new author sections make it much clearer who has written or shared each article. You can learn a little more about them and discover other pieces they have contributed.
We believe it is important to know where advice and experiences have come from. Wig wearing is personal, and there is enormous value in hearing from people who genuinely understand the emotions, questions and occasional challenges involved.
6. Join the Conversation
The heart of Whispers has always been its community.
You can still leave comments, share your own experiences and respond to other wig wearers. There is also a clearer Want to get involved? area for anyone who would like to share a hair loss story, write about their wig-wearing journey or contribute something that may help another person.
You do not have to be a professional writer. You simply need something you would like to say.
Some of the most meaningful articles we have ever published began with a customer deciding to tell us what happened to them. Those stories have comforted, encouraged and inspired thousands of people, often at a time when they needed it most.
