Our owner and chief coffee maker shares her thoughts . . .
The Parsley Wig
For me, wigs create special moments,
great moments and important moments in my time line.
Working within the wig world for me, is a bit like working in a sweet shop. So many choices, so little time. Over the years I have fallen in love with lots of styles and I thought I would share with you one of my favourites, the Parsley Wig. The bob styles are a fave here at Simply HQ, as they are instantaneously flattering. Everybody likes instantaneously flattering, don’t they? So if you are browsing through the many, many wigs on our site and you can’t decide. Here’s my thoughts on the lovely Parsley.
Just a bit more info for your wig finding quest.
There are lot of points to consider when choosing a wig, but the main things that I personally need to think about are – does it feel comfortable? Does it look like a wig? Is the colour lifting my skin tone or making me look tired? Nobody wants to look tired, although we all probably feel it from time to time!
I simply LOVE the Parsley as it is so comfortable and as I measure an average cap size, the fit is perfect. If you do need to tighten, or slacken this wig there are two adjusters at the nape of the neck which allow you to change the size by about 5cm. The adjusters for the Parsley are a simple hook and ribbon process. Easy to do and no fuss or hassle. The inside of the cap is completely hand tied, which means that each knot has been individually sewn into the cap. This allows for a lower density look, creating the illusion of your own hair rather than lots of Hollywood glamour. I personally find that hand tied wigs move more naturally. Wefted styles give you more definition at the back of the head, whereas the hand tied version will follow the natural curve of your contours more naturally. As with all wig purchases though, it is all about personal preference.
The top and crown area continues with the handtied construction, creating a monofilament appearance. The Parsley also has a lace front finish. I love these as it means you can wear the wig away from your face and not have any tell tale ‘wig edge’ showing.
The one comment I would make about the lace front of the Parsley, is that I have felt softer. The Feather Premier Wigs range has the softest lace front I have come across so far. After saying this, I would still feel comfortable wearing the Parsley all day, every day. Check out my pictures above and you will see that in the photos I have the hair behind my ears. This is because the lace front of the Parsley continues around the ears. A wonderful design, which will help boost your confidence and let you play around with your style.
Wigs look like wigs when you do not move them. The Parsley is perfect as you will just feel it is your own hair. When wearing the Parsley, you have the option of brushing flat, so that the volume is minimum and sleek, or you can ruffle up so that you have lots more shape. You can be sleek and chic for work, then tousled and ruffled for a night out. My conclusion is that the Parsley is a beautiful bob. Five out of five and one of my favourites. Colour wise my hubby prefers the Light Brown colour which is shown in the second picture. I do though love the Sparkling Champagne Blonde, as it has darkest brown roots which cleverly create a natural regrowth appearance.
I’ll ignore him and wear Sparkling Champagne.
There is one question though I need to ask the people at Natural Collection Wigs …
Why on earth did you call such a lovely wig “Parsley?”
My final test for wearing the Parsley wig is for my daughters.
Question to daughters. . . “Does this look like a wig?”
Daughters reply . . . “No it doesn’t . . . When’s tea?”
My conclusion . . . That’s good enough for me.
GREAT INFO, THANK YOU.
Of course you look beautiful in “Parsley. ”
I will study the links.
Everything you write is so true.
