FOCUS ON JOHN RENAU SMART LACE
“I recently came to visit Simply Wigs to shoot the new Jon Renau collection for the video catwalk feature. As I sat in the changing room putting on my my make up, I took a quick look at all the Jon Renau wigs that I would be modeling that day. Wow, so many and in so many different styles and colours. I took the first one out of the box and tried it on. Wow again, literally from trying the first one on it felt like I had suddenly grew a head of hair.. The first thing that came to mind really was how realistic they look, and when they say smart lace front – they mean it!“
“Seriously, I started to annoy myself because I just couldn’t stop looking in the mirror and at the amazing lace front. I promise I’m not that vain but I just love how realistic these wigs look and how fabulous they make you feel. My advice, if you’re low on confidence (which you have every right to be when you lose your hair) purchase a Jon Renau wig!”
“I’ve already done a 2 video reviews from the collection, Heidi and Zara, but I’ll also touch on some others which I loved the look of at a later date.”
“Personally, I preferred the longer wigs from the collection, mainly because of the beautifully soft fibres, and how soft the hair was to feel. For me it felt like a waste to invest in another short wig, (just down to personal preference) when the quality and standards of these wigs are just so high. You’re probably already aware that when you buy a longer wig its usually harder to maintain the quality and the general day to day care is somewhat a nightmare, but I’m really confident on the quality of Jon Renau wigs, so much so, that I first thought that they were a synthetic/human hair mix. That’s the kind of vibe you get when you first try one on.”
“For me Heidi is just perfection. It’s a monofilament top, smart lace front and the style is perfect to dress up or down. I literally don’t ever want to take it off. I would describe the curls as relaxed, and the kind of waves you get after a trip to the hairdressers, so for me this was the ultimate natural look and it instantly gave me a confidence boost.”
“Zara and Amber were joint second for me. Both are glamorous long looks, but not something I would personally wear every day. Zara is sleek and straight with perfectly styled layers whereas Amber has relaxed beach waves with amazing natural highlights running throughout. Both looks I absolutely love and are perfect for a dressy look. Just click the links to view the video reviews for the Zara and Amber.”
“From the wigs that I tried on I also liked the look and feel of the Gisele and Scarlett. You may see a pattern forming here because majority of my favourites all have these signature relaxed curls. I’m not usually one for a curly wig, but Jon Renau have got it spot on here, making a collection of super easy and wearable day-to-day wigs.I also need to mention the comfort and wearability of the Jon Renau range. They were a great fit for me and made me feel secure and at ease, knowing that they look super realistic. They are crafted using a soft and lightweight mesh for the monofilament top and lace front, making it comfortable, breathable and itch-free against my scalp.”
love Steph
Hi Meg
I do still have my eyelashes and some sparse eyebrows. I did have semi permanent tattoo’s on my brows, but I still tend to draw over them. I use various products for this, but NYX brow pomade or brow gel is amazing and lasts all day. In fact I actually struggle to take it off at night. Hope that helps. xx
Jon Renau say that ‘The Smart Lace lace front wigs have each hair hand tied to the lace creating the illusion of a natural-growing hairline. The finely woven lace front conforms to the shape of your head, for a secure fit – you’ll feel like it was made just for you!’
Lovely all of them! I was just wondering whether anybody could tell me what smart lace is (as opposed to any other kind of lace front?) I guess I’d like to know why they call it smart?
Hi,
Your wigs look amazing, I was just wondering if you still have your eyelashes and eyebrows? As they look so good too!
Thanks!
xx
I bought my first Jon Renau Smartlace last month and I’m sooo pleased with her!
My last hair, Madelyn, had a full fringe I loved it but it was great to have my hair off my forehead for a change!
You’re definately right Steph in saying about the quality of Jon Renau and Heidi won’t be my last! Xx
Steph, this is an amazing article! Thank so much honey! Really loved it! I adore the Jon Renau! They’re soooo amazing! You suit every single wig you wear! You’re just gorgeous!x
