NHS HEROES NOMINATION
THANK YOU

‘I would like to nominate my lovely daughter, who has just recently qualified as a doctor’
Not only is she caring and kind but she makes me smile every day. She helps me get ready each day by washing me and taking me to the bathroom.
She talks to me about things we have enjoyed. We talked about going to the South of France and when we had to walk across the railway. We visited Disney World in Florida and had lots of fun on the rides and seeing the characters.
She makes me laugh and draws me beautiful pictures. She makes me dinner and checks my blood sugar levels and helps me with my insulin injections each day. She got me a smart pillbox to organise my tablets as there is a lot to take.
‘She’s a lovely daughter, carer and wonderful sister and auntie’
It was such a shock when I found out I had cancer. My daughter called the doctors to find out about my progress but she wasn’t able to visit me in the hospital due to COVID-19. She was able to come with me to see the Oncology Team and ask about my treatment plan. Both of my daughters, give me so much joy and so do my grandchildren. I’m so proud I got to see her qualify as a doctor and all she’s achieved, before this illness.
NHS HEROES
Our Simply Wigs Heroes feature has been changed to Our Simply Wigs ‘NHS’ Heroes.
If you know an NHS worker, that you would like to thank then tell us why and let us know. We will then regularly choose entries and your Simply Wigs NHS hero will be sent either a bouquet of flowers, champagne or vouchers of your choice. It may be your friend who is working long hospital shifts, or maybe your neighbour who is a nurse on a ward. Or it may just be your mum, dad, brother, sister or friend, who as an NHS worker, has helped & is helping to keep us all safe.
