NOMINATION: Joanne
“ I was taken to hospital with multiple blood clots in my lungs back in November 2017.
After investigating the cause the doctors diagnosed me with Cervical cancer ”
“ I was an absolute mess, but my Mum (above) has been there every step of the way, she’s gone above and beyond what she’s needed to, all to help me. She helped me at the hospital to shower and dress when I couldn’t manage (little bit embarrassing as I’m now 36, ha) but did it anyway, sorted my appointments, took me to chemo sessions and stayed with me (all day, every 3rd week), picks up my prescription, takes me shopping when I feel like I can’t go alone, shaved my head for me when my hair started to fall out, bought me my first wig. There’s so much more and I couldn’t even think of getting through this without her. She’s absolutely amazing, I’m so proud of her and love her so, so much. ”I would like to nominate my hero, my mum, Joanne. She’s my hero!
