The Most Fabulous Wig Hair Trends

The Most Fabulous Wig Hair Trends

It’s time to start thinking about what wig and hairstyles you want to be rocking on those first few glorious days and nights out, so we’ve made this guide to the hottest spring hair trends this year to help you out.

1. FLIPPED ENDS

Seemingly this trend has a 30-year life cycle; first popularised in the 60s as the ‘bubble flip’ and then in the 90s (thank you Friends), flipped ends are gracing us again in the spring 2021 hair trends.

This is the High End Cosmo Lace Short wig, striking and smooth with lots of layers and volume. Several shades for this wig are highlights too, for dynamic colour. It is completely hand-tied for natural movement, and a monofilament design allows you to choose where you part it. For an alternative, check out the Untold Story Wig from Raquel Welch.

2. DEFINED CURLS

2021 is also the year of embracing fabulous curls! In this spring hair trend sleek, voluminous curls are worn in higher, boxier shapes help them to bounce around.

The Jamila Plus wig from Ellen Wille is gorgeous, bouncy and feminine. It comes in a range of colours to suit any style and is incredibly natural-looking. With a monofilament crown to give the impression that the hair is coming from your own scalp, your look will be completely authentic and completely fabulous!

3. FRONT FRINGE / BANGS

As we all got bored of being shut in the house in 2020, a lot of us turned to cutting our own bangs with varying degrees of success. In 2021 we’re styling them out!

Thanks to this easiFringe enhancer by Jon Renau, you can have all of the beauty of a dramatic front fringe (without the fear of cutting it wonky). It’s ideal for those with crown thinning, as it clips into your hair to hold it in place.

4. LOW-KEY WAVES

Low-key waves are a timeless classic and are maintaining popularity in the spring 2021 hair trends. Beachy and soft, these waves can give lend volume to your style and feel airy and light.

The Runway Waves Large wig from the Gabor collection is perfect for that flawless no-effort look. The top and crown of this wig are wefted to allow you to maintain volume all day without it dropping.

5. BLUNT BOBS

Bobs are revered in hair trends. They frame the face perfectly and work across a variety of hair textures. Blunt bobs are a cool, bold statement and can highlight the neck and shoulders gorgeously.

This Cri wig is heat-resistant up to 150 degrees and comes in nine different shades – what’s not to love?

6. PASTEL

The lockdown hair of choice was box-dyed pink and, in fairness, we think a lot of people rocked it. But with our pastel wigs, there is no fading, no patchiness and definitely no pink splatters all over the bathroom.

This is the Lavish wig from the Muse series by Rene of Paris and with soft, natural curls you can perfectly frame your face. This wig falls just below shoulder height and the lilac colour with lighter and darker greys throughout creates a gorgeously modern look for your spring hair styles.

7. DOUBLE BRAIDS

2021 is bringing back the classic braid duo. Simple, fun and practical, this look is the perfect reminder of the outdoor concerts and summer staycations we have to look forward to this year.

The Rave Girl Braided wig by Gisela Mayer comes with the plaits already created, ideal for those days when you want style from your wig with no effort. And don’t worry – as the plaits are styled into the wig, there’s no fear of webbing or wefts showing underneath.

8. SHAGGY BOB

If you like shorter hair but prefer snippy ends and a bit of texture, why not try a shaggy bob? Glam shag is really blowing up in 2021. Chic and a little bit windswept, this is the perfect style for those blustery spring days when smooth hair just doesn’t want to stay smooth.

The elegant Icone wig from Ellen Wille’s Hair Society collection features amazing feathered layers, so the style isn’t too heavy and doesn’t overpower your features. It comes in ten gorgeous colours and with a hand-tied monofilament construction, you can part it wherever you like!

9. RICH REDS

If pastels aren’t your thing, you might be more of a fan of bolder, richer colours. Thanks to Netflix’s ‘The Queen’s Gambit’, redheads are coming back into the spotlight and we’re loving it.

This longer wig is the Chance wig from Natural Image. It’s a monofilament wig with a hand-tied front so you know it’s going to look totally natural wherever you choose to part it. Amazingly auburn with red and copper highlights and it’s even available in a petite cap, which few long wigs are.

10. CHOPPY PIXIE

If you’re feeling really bold, why not have a go with a choppy pixie this year? The fluffy, snipped fringe gives the look a lot of movement and the short style is great as the weather warms up.

This is the Aya wig from the Sentoo premium collection and it is cropped, chic and sophisticated. The wig has been thinned out so that it won’t sit too heavily on your forehead and has short layers to make for easy definition. If you like this style, also check out the Zest wig from the Gabor collection.
