NOMINATION: Carol
“I have a disease called gorhams which is eating away at my skull. No cure. Weekly chemotherapy. Carol (Mrs chatterbox) is my best friend. She’s there through thick and thin, even though it’s not long since she lost her husband to cancer. She’s there when I’m down, there when I’m poorly, there when I need help, night or day. I know she’s at the end of the phone 24/7. She likes nothing more than a chat and makes me laugh so much. She comes to hospital appointments, takes me shopping, brings groceries in if I can’t get out. Every one needs a friend like Carol and I love her to bits.”
I would like to nominate my best friend, Carol. She is an amazing person!

Lovely story Sarah! Well deserved winner 🙂
I looked up the meaning of the expression ‘A friend in need is a friend indeed’ and it states
‘This means that a friend who helps you when you really need help is a true friend’ and this is very apt for these best friends.
Carol is a very worthy winner of this title, and her selfless support has made life a little easier for her friend Sarah.
May they continue to laugh together for many years to come.
