Experiencing an itchy, dry scalp was the first sign to Jacqui that something was wrong. After consulting her GP, she realised that she needed a solution. This was the beginning of how wigs would transform her life. Read on to find out more.
Jacqui’s Story
When I first noticed my scalp was very itchy and dry, I contacted my GP, who told me that I had sun damage on my scalp. My hair had got very thin in the past few years, even though I had worn protection, and I was faced with the thought of skin cancer. My GP suggested that I come into the surgery and let them take a deeper look at my scalp, which I agreed to. I went into the surgery and was told they would like to cut it out. I decided to do this after it was cut out; I was left with a scar and was told that my hair would be unlikely to grow back there.
This gave me a lot to worry about, and unfortunately, I ended up with alopecia. My hair hasn’t grown back over the scar, and I have lost hair on my legs, arms, and eyebrows. I have been wearing Ellen Wille wigs for several years now, and I have gained a lot more confidence since wearing a wig.

‘After a length of time, I have found that the wigs seem to be getting thinner, even though I have looked after them with shampoo and conditioner, suitable for fibre wigs. I would now like to maybe change the style of the wig and am thinking of coming and trying a few on in your shop and seeking your advice.
The wig that I have been wearing is the Ellen Wille Coco wig. But I have found it getting flatter and not staying up when I push it up, as it used to. I would like a wig with more height on top and at the back, and I have seen a few that match what I want when looking at your website.’
