I am Ginta and I am now 50 years old. Alopecia has been my companion since early childhood. My hair came and went, came back and then went away again. But from the age of 15, it never returned. And thus began my story of living with a wig.
At that time, the wigs available to me were quite ugly, made of low-quality synthetic fibres. It was obvious from afar that I was wearing a wig because my head looked huge. I felt very uncomfortable, insecure, and inadequate. People were sometimes cruel, unaccepting, and rude. My self-esteem was shattered.
It was gradually regained when I met my husband, and my children were born. Time passed, and in the country where I live, better quality wigs became available.
In my life with a wig, I have tried various styles and cuts. My head has been adorned with both short, black pixie cuts and thick, brown waves, as well as a blonde bob. I used to buy wigs in local stores. But the selection there was not wide enough and my demands for quality wigs had also grown.

It was only in 2019 that I accidentally discovered the Simply Wigs online store, which offers a wide range of wigs and a wide selection of colours and styles. And the best part – SW also delivers packages to my country! I am thrilled. After each new wig delivery, I’m already looking forward to the next one.
Now in my wardrobe, I have at least three different wigs for various life situations – for sports, work, and celebrations. The wigs look natural, are easy to maintain, and I can always look beautiful.
What confuses me the most though, are the compliments from other people, praising my hair styles and asking about my hairdresser 😉
Sending love, Ginta xx
You look amazing.
My life has changed since finding Simply Wigs. I have my self confidence back now.
And like you I enjoy the compliments I get! Nobody knows I’m wearing a wig unless I tell them!
Hi. I can totally identify with this
You look absolutely fabulous. I’ve also worn wigs for many years so I know how you feel xx
Thank you, Ginta, for sharing your story. Wig wearing certainly has its challenges – but as they say ‘what doesn’t break you makes you stronger’. I hope you continue to enjoy your wig collection and good for you that you change it up often. Have fun!
