January 26 – 30 2015 is Cancer Talk Week
The cancer conversation is often one of the most difficult things to go through when coming to terms with a diagnosis. Patients, family members, partners, colleagues and carers can all feel overwhelmed by a cancer diagnosis and the impact it has on their lives.
Macmillan believes no one should face cancer alone. We are determined that living with cancer shouldn’t be a lonely fight. That’s why we encourage patients and their support network to talk to Macmillan and open up about their experiences and ask for the care they need.
Cancer Talk is vital in spreading the word – and spreading support- across the whole of the UK. The campaign also encourages an open forum of information and personal stories to help sufferers and family members feel part of a supportive community.
This year Macmillan want to talk about the general election and the importance of improving cancer care. A fresh focus will be used to make life better for people affected by cancer if they are elected in May. Find out more about the Macmillan Cancer Talk Week campaign and join the discussion.
Together, we can make sure nobody faces cancer alone.
