How getting a perm thinned my hair

Simply Wigs have given me the confidence to go out each day feeling good.

Back in the 1970’s perms were all the fashion, and as a teenager I decided to go to a hairdressers salon, much against my mum’s wishes, to have a perm. The hairdresser left me sitting there for far too long with the perming solution on my head.

When she came back to check if it had taken well, my scalp was damaged and bleeding in places. I came out of the salon with a head of total frizz and had to hold back the tears.

My hair grew back but was very thin and fine at my hairline. Luckily, I’ve always been good at styling my hair and it looked okay, but I didn’t learn my lesson and had a few more perms over the years.
