NHS HEROES NOMINATION
thank you Cathy

Cathy is my daughter.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, all her singing bookings have been cancelled but she has continued nursing, doing extra shifts.
She goes into nursing and care homes, continuing to give care and help to our most vulnerable patients and also visits others at home.

Isolation
Many of them are more isolated and lonely than usual and she always does her best to give them support and brighten their day.
She is a wonderful daughter who is looking forward to being able to entertain our elderly generation again in the future.
I’m so delighted to hear Cathy has been chosen and she will be really surprised and thrilled as it has been such a testing time for all key workers!
The emphasis has naturally been on hospitals but so many community nurses and carers have been looking after elderly COVID-19 patients in residential homes and in the community and they have all done a wonderful job under very stressful conditions.
Cathy has been so supportive of me throughout my hair loss journey and nursed me so caringly during my years of being very unwell with Crohn’s disease. I had to have 2 major operations and Cathy has been there for me all the way.

Thank you so much Cathy, for sharing your story. A beautiful bouquet of flowers are on their way to Cathy!

NHS HEROES
Our Simply Wigs Heroes feature has been changed to Our Simply Wigs ‘NHS’ Heroes.
If you know an NHS worker, that you would like to thank then tell us why and let us know. We will then regularly choose entries and your Simply Wigs NHS hero will be sent either a bouquet of flowers, champagne or vouchers of your choice. It may be your friend who is working long hospital shifts, or maybe your neighbour who is a nurse on a ward. Or it may just be your mum, dad, brother, sister or friend, who as an NHS worker, has helped & is helping to keep us all safe.
