NOMINATION: Jade
“My daughter Jade is a real caring, kind and thoughtful girl. All through my cancer treatment she has supported me emotionally each day. She has a great sense of humour and has made me laugh so much, which has been a real tonic. The first time I got breast cancer I was 28 and she wasn’t even born. I needed a mastectomy, radiotherapy and chemo. This time, at the age of 57, again I needed a mastectomy and chemo. I consider myself blessed this time, as I have a wonderful, caring and compassionate daughter by my side, who would do anything to make life easier for me. And she constantly does. Jade respects my need to be as independant as possible, whilst always being on hand to help with, whatever I need. She is a very special young lady and I love her with all my heart. It is just the two of us at home and we have a very special bond. I just want her to know how much I value her.”
