Christmas is going to be slightly different for me

Christmas is going to be slightly different for me

So this year, Christmas is going to be slightly different for me. Usually I’d come home from Manchester and stay at my mums and open my presents in my PJ’s with her. But now that I’ve moved back to sunny Morecambe, I’ll be waking up Christmas morning (probably slightly hungover) in my own place, just me and my dogs.

The Christmas Expectations

Eeeek how grown up! I’m still going to drive round to my mum’s house early doors whilst still in my new Christmas PJ’s though,
I’m not too grown up for that!

I love this time of year though, it’s full of family get-togethers, lots of meals out lots of drinks – this only means one thing. I get to dress up more than usual and if you know me you know I love my fashion, and obviously I have to coordinate my hair and outfit. Just kidding, however I do tend to be more experimental with my hairstyles if I’m off work for a week or two.

Last year I actually wore two of my more fun wigs of the festive period. I’m a massive fan of my Rene of Paris, Illumina ) coloured wig when I go out or get dressed up, but I think on Christmas day I actually wore, a pink wig! For my Christmas do I also went quite bold but instead of colour I chose a full fringe – Something you see me with rarely. This wig was Madelynn and it’s still one of my favourites!

To be honest though, I usually spend half of Christmas
day in my cosy new pajamas and no on hair at all.

I’m wrapped in a fluffy new dressing gown with the hood up to keep me warm, and that’s when I feel most comfortable. When it’s just me and my family, or my close friends I feel happy enough to do this. Regardless whether I’m wearing my wig or not I’m still me and I can still relax, but that said I still like to get glammed up for a nice occasion and my wigs always help me do this.

So this year, I’m not entirely sure which wig I’ll be wearing over the festive period but I have 3 styles which I have my eye on, and that I’m going to order as soon as possible, ready for Christmas parties!
I’m loving autumnal colours at the moment such as chesnuts, deep reds, bright reds, rose gold. So here’s my suggestion. I’ve gone for an easy to maintain, shorter day to day style – Tranquil wig by Natural Image, in colour Chesnut Glow R.
A glam and luxurious long and wavy style – this is Sakura long, from the Sentoo premium collection in colour Shanghai Spice, and a mid-length hand tied beauty in my absolute fave colour which is Honeysuckle by Natural collection in colour Lighter red.

In fact, after looking back at last year’s photo’s I’m now actually considering getting the Madelyn wig again, as I really love that sharp fringe, particularly in that colour, what do you think, should I go for it?

Let me know your Christmas styles,
hopefully we can give each other some inspiration.

Hope you all have a very merry Christmas and
I hope all your dreams come true.
love,
Steph

  1. I shall be wearing my Raquel Welch winner wig it is so easy to wear, suits all ages have a few colours, I don’t like wearing the same colour so it’s like having my hair coloured every week.
Here’s wishing my fellow wig wearers and all the lovely staff at Simply Wigs a lovely Christmas and a great new year.

  2. Steph you look beautiful in every hair I’ve seen you wear!
I’m slightly biased as I have Madelyn too and would vote for her!
