NOMINATION: Joyce
“On May 3rd my amazing Dad died, after health issues he suddenly left our lives, a character snatched from us.
On May 25th I was diagnosed with lobular cancer in my left breast, all I could think was, how do I tell my Mam? She had enough going on. I can’t explain the strength we have as a family during these trying times. After my mastectomy & auxillary lymph node removal my Mam has been a tower of strength & is always worrying about being in the way. As if! She takes me shopping, preps me meals, does my ironing & rubs my feet.
She is truly my hero & I’m so proud to be just like her. I see the worry & fear in her eyes yet she still shares a caring smile & a knowing cuddle. ”
I would like to nominate my hero mum, Joyce. She is an amazing person!
NOMINATED BY: her daughter, Nadeen.
Thank you so much Nadeen, for sharing your story.
A beautiful bouquet of flowers are on their way to your mum!
Thank you, for being you.
Who would you say ‘thank you’ to . . .
Nominate your hero now
Having gone though breast cancer treatment some years ago, I can understand how difficult it was for Nadeen to tell her mother Joyce about her diagnoses, especially coming so soon after the death of their special dad/husband. They are both heroes in my eyes, supporting each other at a very difficult time. I wish you both the best of happiness for the future.
How Lucky you are to have such a wonderful mum, who is a tower of strength, what a lovely inspiring story 🙂
What a wonderful and enviable relationship you have!
In my view, you are both heroes: giving each other the right kind of support exactly when and if needed and growing your strength through difficult times.
Love like that is healing xxxx
Lovely to speak to you today Nadeen. I’m over the moon that it will be a welcome surprise for your mum. They should be delivered tomorrow – hopefully in the morning 🙂 Emma (SW) xx
