Wig Styling With Beach Waves
Instead of wind and rain affecting your wig style and wear, your biggest concern during the summer is likely to be finding a wig style that is going to keep you comfortable and cool. A great way of styling a shorter wig is to give it some waves and volume – of course, this can also be achieved with longer wigs. Creating lovely beach waves is easily done with human hair wigs and heat friendly wigs that you can style with heat. Using a hair straightener or curling iron, put some gentle waves into your short wig and hairspray it into place. To achieve a more tousled summer look, use a spritz of dry shampoo to give your wig texture and volume. Mess is more.

Idea: Tie Your Wig into an Up-Do
Shorter wig styles may not be your thing, but there is so much that you can do with longer wigs. The benefit of styling your wig into a ponytail is that it allows you to pull your wig hair away from your face and neck during the warm temperatures, as well as looking stylish.
Choose from a loose and low ponytail or sleek high ponytail updo, and don’t be afraid for it to be a little tousled as this can make your wig look super chic and natural. To give your ponytail some extra glamour, tie a colourful headscarf around the hair tie you have securing your ponytail in place. This style is extremely on-trend and easy to do.
Style with a Long Braid
Braids are a wonderful style that can be achieved with most wigs, aside from ones that are too short. The beauty of braiding is that there are so many types of braids to try out, and you certainly don’t need to be neat with them. In fact, a little mess can get your braid looking at its best.
Looking for braid inspiration? Instead of tying your wig into a low ponytail, plait a normal braid or fishtail plait into your hair and tie it at the end. Once complete, pull a few strands of hair out to make it look messy and tousled.
Tip: for synthetic wigs, take a brush and slowly and gently backcomb parts of the braid to get rid of that synthetic shine and make your wig look as natural as possible.
Bring Some Hair Away From Your Face
If you prefer to wear your wig down and keep it simple, take a section of hair from both sides of your wig parting and bring them to the back, either as they are or as two twists or braids, and clip them or tie them in place at the back of your wig. This is a really easy style that looks lovely and feminine, as well as allowing you to pull some of the wig hair away from your face on a warm summer’s day. This wig style looks lovely on straight, wavy, and curly wigs.
