The 9 Best Wigs with Fringes, and How to Style Them

Fringes (AKA bangs – yes, they are the same thing) are a top trend in 2021, and our range is home to some of the absolute best wigs with fringes. Some fringes are actually advantageous on wigs – if you’re nervous that your hairline won’t look fully natural, particularly if you’re new to wig-wearing, a fringe can help you disguise it and feel confident. In this post, we take a look at some of the best wigs with fringes and, importantly, tips on styling a wig with bangs.

The 9 Best Wigs with Fringes:

Fringe Flair

by Rene of Paris

This light hairpiece is versatile and easily removable so that you can have all of the fringe and none of the fuss. Ideal for those with thinning hair around the top of the head or temples or who just want a bit more volume. This hairpiece has a wispy fringe, so it won’t look heavy on your head.

Robin

by Noriko

A full wig with slightly thicker fringe. Despite the blunt fringe, the wig cap is wefted so the wig will be light and breathable. The fringe typically sits just below the brow line, but if you would prefer it slightly shorter, you can always get it professionally trimmed – styling a wig with bangs means making it work for you.

Avery

by Rene of Paris

A stylish look with soft, cascading curls complemented by a slightly arched fringe. The fringe can be worn straight or swept to the side. We just love the shape of this wig, and it has enough length that you can even tie it back to change up your look.

Cher

by Ellen Wille

From the Hairpower collection comes this stunning, modern look with a longer fringe. The style is very sleek and straight, and the fringe is slightly thinner at the brow line. This wig has a monofilament crown which helps it to look very natural.

Masumi

by Sentoo

This is one of our best wigs with bangs. It’s a hand-tied, monofilament wig with a lace front – talk about luxury! Although the fringe does cover much of the forehead, it is cut long, so it is worn swept to the side. It even has feathered ends, so it blends into the rest of the wig. The wig is made with heat-resistant fibres, so it can be blow-dried, curled or straightened to fit your preferences.

Disc

by Ellen Willer

Speaking of longer fringes, this has a bold, asymmetrical design. The shorter sides sit just below the ear while the sweeping fringe takes the limelight. A stunning statement wig with a monofilament strip on the left parting side to help it look completely natural.

Ignite

by Jon Renau

For a similar but more subtle look, try this wig from the Jon Renau collection. It comes in 35 fabulous colours. We love the Venice Blonde pictured here. The fringe here is also asymmetrical but slightly softer, and there is enough length throughout the wig to style it your way with products.

Easifringe Hair Enhancer

by Jon Renau

This is the perfect way to add some volume to your natural hair and look amazing doing it. This enhancer is heat resistant, so you can style it to blend in with your existing hair seamlessly. It comes in an incredible 20 colours, and its length gives it versatility – simply visit a wig stylist to get your ideal look.

Tori-wig

Tori

by Rene of Paris

Our most popular sleek bob wig with a shorter fringe that can be worn forward, swept to one side or even split and swept to each side. This is the perfect modern look with plenty of natural movement and is one of the most popular wigs with a fringe, that we have on our portfolio. A really pretty style that compliments all face shapes.

it’s easy…

Styling a Wig with a fringe

As with most wigs, the ways you can style them very much depends on the wig itself. When it comes to styling a wig with bangs, you want to make sure that your first priority is getting the fringe to sit the way you’d like it to.

1. There are three basic styles of FRINGES:
STRAIGHT

These come straight down your forehead and typically come in the form of a blunt fringe, micro fringe (cut significantly above the brow line) and feathered fringe.

SIDE SWEPT

This is where all or most of the fringe lies to one side, creating an asymmetrical look.

CURTAIN

This type of fringe is parted to both sides of the face, and this can be achieved either with the same amount of fringe on both sides or an asymmetrical split.

There is a lot of scope for personal touches within these styles, but knowing what type of fringe you’re looking for can help streamline the process. Of course, styling wigs with fringes, often gives you some flexibility.

2. You should also consider length. Some wigs come with shorter fringes, and while you can style those, if you’re looking to really customise your wig, you may want to consider the longer fringes. When styling a wig with bangs or a fringe, particularly if it is longer, a wig stylist can help you by trimming the fringes and shaping them to your face. With wigs, as with any hair, we don’t recommend cutting your own fringe.

3. Remember to think about how you want your fringe to look and sit:

a) If you want a fringe but don’t want it to get in your eyes, consider a straight fringe cut at the brows or just above.

b) Keep your face shape in mind. This should be a positive guideline rather than something that discourages your style. Face shape guides can help you pick a flattering cut, but just because a style you like isn’t recommended doesn’t mean you won’t look amazing!

4. Use wig styling products to get your ideal finished look. This could mean adding volume to a blunt fringe or making sure that your side-swept fringe stays in place.

When it comes down to it, the best wigs with bangs or fringes are the ones that make you feel fabulous. Fringes are a great way to frame your gorgeous face or disguise a difficult hairline.
