The Guide to False Eyelashes for Alopecia Sufferers

False eyelashes for alopecia sufferers are a brilliant choice if you’re experiencing hair loss. If you have alopecia, you may prefer to cope with hair loss by wearing a wig or a headscarf. But have you ever considered incorporating false eyelashes into your routine to help you look and feel fabulous?

Here we bring you a guide on false eyelashes for alopecia sufferers, including the many benefits of fake eyelashes for alopecia, our favourite false eyelash styles and an easy step-by-step tutorial on how to easily apply false eyelashes.

The Benefits of False Eyelashes For Alopecia Sufferers

Whether you have extremely fine or no eyelashes, false eyelashes offer a range of benefits, from improving your self-confidence to trying out new styles.

Affordable

Compared to other eyelash treatments that need constant upkeep, false eyelashes are very affordable and budget-friendly. Commonly, each set of eyelashes comes with two pairs.

Confidence boosting

Fake eyelashes for those with alopecia can instantly boost your confidence to help you look and feel great. Even on the days where you don’t want to apply any makeup, a pair of false eyelashes can take you from feeling drab to fab.

Versatility

The beauty of fake eyelashes for those with alopecia is that you have the choice of when you want to wear them. You may prefer to wear false eyelashes every day, or you may prefer to wear them just on special occasions. Or you could alternate between a natural style one day and a more dramatic look the next! Once you get the hang of applying false eyelashes, they will become a staple in your makeup kit.

Gorgeous styles

What we love about false eyelashes for those with alopecia is that there’s no right or wrong style to choose from. You can choose whichever length, density or colour you prefer. Some people prefer really dramatic eyelashes, whilst others prefer a more natural look. It’s completely down to your personal preference.

Natural

A natural pair of false eyelashes for alopecia sufferers are the perfect day to day style. The beautiful light and natural false eyelashes are available in a medium or a long density and are available in either brown or black. With two sets of eyelashes in each pack, not only are you getting high-quality hand made eyelashes, but you’re also getting excellent value for money!

Clustered

Clustered eyelashes are perfect for those who want a natural look that helps to open up the eyes. As the name implies, clustered lashes are small clusters of false eyelash hair spaced out across the lash band, resulting in the most natural and flawless look.

Party

For those special occasions where you want to dress up more, party jewel eyelashes are a perfect choice. These eyelashes have clusters of short and long eyelashes, giving you diversity. With jewels incorporated into the fake eyelashes’ lashline, these are a great option for that important party.

Eyelashes

False eyelashes are available in a range of styles, and that’s what makes them so great. You can decide which style and look you prefer. Here are a few of our favourite false eyelashes for those with alopecia.

How to Easily Apply False Eyelashes

If this is your first time applying false eyelashes, be sure to take your time. Even the most experienced fake eyelash wearer will take a few attempts before being happy with how the false eyelashes look.

Now, let’s discuss how to easily apply false eyelashes in five simple steps.

1

Find your perfect pair of false eyelashes

2

Measure each eyelash against your eye. If the eyelash is too wide for your eye shape, then you can trim any excess eyelashes off with scissors. Start cutting from the outer corner of the false eyelash and work your way inward.

3

Take your eyelash glue and place a thin layer of glue on the band of each eyelash.

4

Wait between 30 seconds and a minute for the glue to go tacky.

5

Gently apply the false eyelashes to your own lash line on the upper eyelid with your fingers or tweezers. Tweezers are useful to get a more accurate application, but be careful with them close to your eye.

And voila! Your gorgeous false eyelashes are ready to go.

Top Tips For Applying False Eyelashes:

The tackier the eyelash glue feels, the more easily the lash will stick.

Position your eyelashes at a more upwards angle to give you a more natural appearance.

Some people find putting liquid eyeliner on their upper eyelid an easy way to hide any visible eyelash glue.

Others find using the eyelash glue like an eyeliner on your upper eyelid and applying the lashes directly onto the glue an easier method.
