So, you may have been told you have to work from home because of the current global crisis, or you may even work from home already and now you can’t help but imagine yourself, lazing around in bed or on the sofa (with lots of snacks!). We’re sharing some of our best working from home advice to help you during this time.
When working from home, you need to make sure you have a good working from home routine and workspace set up. Sitting in bed or on the sofa all day and not moving can make you feel tired and unproductive. Below you will find some tips on how to make the perfect set up and keep motivated whilst working.
Your imaginary office set-up
Going from your normal office or workspace to a home work space will be a change so make sure to follow the tips below.
Working Breaks
Make sure to have breaks scheduled into your working from home routine and move around a little. Don’t sit in front of your screen for hours on end, especially if you’re isolated.
Logging Off & Winding Down
When you reach the end of your workday, make sure you log off. Turn off those emails, shut down your computer and RELAX. It’s important to try and keep your home and work life separate so you don’t get overwhelmed. Wind down and enjoy your evening.
Working from home might seem like a simple task, but it’s easy to become unproductive and unmotivated when you’re sat in the same place for a long time.
We are all in this together. I am hoping these tips will help some you adjust to new adjustments and changes that are happening and make things a little easier.
