Hi, my name is Yumi, I am a 33 year old transwoman from Germany.
A Journey Years in the Making
I finally had the chance to begin my trans journey – something I had carried with me from 2008 to 2024. I was just a month before my therapist session the last time at a hairdresser, because I didn’t know if I can start my journey with the therapist.
The Struggle with Dysphoria
So, as I wanted to start to look female in the public, I didn’t had much hair which causes in strong dysphoric and anxiety. I started to search after wigs. My first wigs were very cheap ones, but I saw, but I began to realize that this could not be the final solution. Deep down, I knew they weren’t a long-term answer. They didn’t give me the natural look and confidence I longed for.
Discovering Simply Wigs
A year later, I decided it was time to invest in myself and my happiness. That’s when I found Simply Wigs.
I bought the Angelica Large wig, because as a “born male” I sadly have a larger head then the most females. But this wig turned out amazing! And I’ve been getting compliments on my look ever since.
And today was the first time I passed in public (that a stranger recognized me fully female and called me “young lady”). I am so happy now, I can finally be myself, after so many years, after so much pain over the 32 years and now, I am happy, I can look in the mirror and finally see “me“.

One word BEAUTIFUL
Well done Yumi! The only way is forward now. I’ve been wearing wigs for a lot of years now, since the 1970s, and have enjoyed wearing different styles and colourings.
