I work regularly as a guest entertainer on cruise ships. I need to look well groomed, confident and professional. But, whatever I wore and however carefully I applied my make up, my hair let me down.
A Friend Of Mine Visited From America
She told me how thin her hair is now and so she wears a wig. Well, I would never have guessed. She just looked so great. When she took off her wig, I was stunned, not by her thin hair but that she suddenly looked ten years older. More to the point, her wig instantly made her look ten years younger! I was convinced.
So my first foray into the world of wigs began. I started by buying a real hair wig from an online non-UK supplier. When it arrived, the colour bore no resemblance to the picture and neither did the style. Plus the fringe was much shorter than shown. My hairdresser coloured the wig for me and styled it so those problems were put right although of course, this really bumped up the expense. Nothing could be done about the fringe.
The Simply Wigs Experience
I then discovered Simply Wigs. Success! I phoned and someone talked to me! I explained that I would be working away and needed a wig with really easy maintenance. I also explained that I wanted to understand how to wear a wig with confidence.
The advantages and disadvantages of a synthetic wig as opposed to a natural hair wig were fully explained. Your advisor recommended a synthetic wig for my needs. In short, my requirements were listened to and there was no attempt to over sell to me.
I ordered the beautiful ‘Cameron Rene of Paris Hi Fashion Collection’ wig and it arrived in just a few days. Brilliant! The colour was just as described and the style is exactly as the 360° view shown on the website. Just perfect!
My New Look
Not even my grown- up daughters realised I was wearing a wig. They thought I’d just had my hair re-styled by an expensive hairdresser. I was so thrilled I bought another, exactly the same. I was going to be working away for a month so wanted to have a spare whilst I washed the other one. This was so easy. I just washed the wig as advised, wrapped it in a towel to take out most of the moisture then gave it a shake and left it to dry. Next day, hey presto, a lovely fresh and dry wig which had kept its’ style exactly as before. I felt smart and well groomed every day and just so much happier and more confidence at work.
I’m SO impressed. So is my husband. Probably because he no longer has to endure me sitting in front of the mirror for forty minutes, attempting to make my hair look decent….then moaning about what a mess I look.
I now can’t resist trawling your site and deciding on my next new look! I can happily say that I am now wearing a wig with confidence!
