NHS HEROES NOMINATION
NHS HERO
MAEVE
WE, THANK YOU.
(Nominated by Sue)
My dear friend Maeve works at Grimsby hospital, in a cardiology unit, which specialises in angiograms, pacemakers, internal defibs, cardioversions etc.
She has a wonderful husband, three grown-up children and several grandchildren. She enjoys cooking for her family and supports her local community: she cycled the Trans Pennine Way (some200+miles) for charity.
Her energy and enthusiasm for her job is endless, even as she copes with long term health issues suffered by close family members.
Her bright, cheerful, positive personality and wicked sense of humour must be an asset to her ward, as it is to her many family and friends.
Maeve was quick to offer my husband and I love and support during a bereavement and again when my husband went through traumatic heart and artery investigations and treatments.
She still manages to find time for everyone and is a truly dedicated health care worker.
We would like to thank Meave, and consider where we would be without people like her?
THE SW TEAM SAYS:
Thank you so much Sue, for sharing your story. A lovely bottle of champagne is on its way to Maeve!
Thank you, for being you.
NHS HEROES
Our Simply Wigs Heroes feature has been changed to Our Simply Wigs ‘NHS’ Heroes.
If you know an NHS worker, that you would like to thank then tell us why and let us know. We will then regularly choose entries and your Simply Wigs NHS hero will be sent either a bouquet of flowers, champagne or vouchers of your choice. It may be your friend who is working long hospital shifts, or maybe your neighbour who is a nurse on a ward. Or it may just be your mum, dad, brother, sister or friend, who as an NHS worker, has helped & is helping to keep us all safe.
