Shopping With The Simply Wigs Wig Bank

To purchase a wig from our wig bank, you can simply book an appointment with our friendly team. Before you come to see us, we will chat with you about what colour, length and cap constructions you would like to try. We'll also ask you to measure your head size. This allows us to look through our collection of donated wigs in advance and pick out some styles we think you'll love.

When you come in, we'll show you some wigs in our wig bank that suit or are very close to your preferences. Your appointment slot will be a full hour to give you plenty of time to relax and try things on. There is no limit on how many wigs you can purchase, so the world is really your oyster.

Please note that due to the volume of wigs we receive from our generous customers and supporters, we can now only accept wigs in a brand new condition. We appreciate every person who sends us something to show their support to other wig-wearers, and we will send you a certificate of donation upon receiving your wig! 

Our Charities 

We ask that all our wig bank customers pay a minimal cost of £5, which we will then donate to charity. Currently, we donate to the amazing Kirkwood Hospice and Alopecia UK 

We have worked with Kirkwood Hospice for many years. The charity provides specialist care, free of charge, to adults with advanced, progressive illnesses at any time from diagnosis to the end of life, respecting their individual needs and wishes.

Wig Bank FAQs 

• Am I eligible for the wig bank? Our wig bank provides for those who are considered necessity wig-wearers: those who have lost their hair due to alopecia, cancer treatments or other medical treatment.
  
  
• What if I can't come to the shop? The Wig Bank is currently a shop-based service only.
  
  
• Will I get a nice wig? Of course! The only wigs we give out from our wig bank are brand-new or nearly-new, so you can be sure you're getting a quality wig. We have received hundreds of donated wigs from our lovely community which range across styles, lengths and colours. We will try our best to find you something as close to your description as possible. We will also fit the wig and trim it to your preferences, absolutely free of charge.
