FAQs
An asymmetrical wig is a specialised hairpiece or wig unit designed with distinct, uneven lengths on each side. Typically, this style features a shorter length in the back and on one side, paired with a longer, angled section that sweeps down on the opposite side. This bold, modern design allows you to achieve an edgy, avant-garde look instantly without committing to a permanent haircut.
Why Choose an Asymmetrical Cut Wig?
- Instant Makeover: Get a sharp, dramatic transformation without cutting your biological hair.
- Flattering Definition: The angled, side-swept look contours and frames various face shapes.
- Low Maintenance: Pre-styled synthetic or human hair options hold their geometric shape without frequent salon touch-ups.
Asymmetrical wigs can suit many face shapes because the uneven lengths help create definition and draw attention to your favourite features. They can be particularly flattering on oval, heart-shaped and longer faces, while a sweeping fringe or longer side can also help soften the appearance of a rounder face.

Yes, Asymmetrical wigs are suitable for everyday wear, and there are styles available in a wide range of fibres, lengths and cap constructions. If you plan to wear your wig throughout the day, look for a comfortable cap construction and choose a style and fibre that suits your lifestyle and preferred level of maintenance.
Start by considering the length, fringe, colour and amount of asymmetry you feel comfortable with. A subtle asymmetrical bob can offer a softer look, while a shorter style with a dramatically longer fringe creates a more contemporary finish. You should also consider cap construction, fibre type and how much styling and maintenance you would like your wig to need.
Yes, a well-chosen asymmetrical wig can look very natural. Features such as a lace front, monofilament parting or hand-tied cap can help create a more realistic hairline and natural-looking hair movement. Choosing a colour and style that complements your face can also help your wig feel more like your own hair.

Storing your wig properly is important to maintaining its shape and quality.
- Ideally, you should store your wig in the original packaging. Simply comb through the wig to remove any tangles or knots, then fold it flat and place it back into the box. Store in a cool and dry place and away from direct sunlight to prevent any damage to the wig fibres.
- Alternatively, if you have lots of space, you could put on wig stands and have them on display. There are various types of wig stands available, including ones that resemble a head shape or simple upright stands.

Yes, you can. You have two options. You can either braid your hair and then wrap the braids around and towards your crown. Or you can tie your long hair into a ponytail and then clip it towards your forehead. Finally, secure your hair by wearing a wig cap.
No. The most important factor for you to consider is how comfortable you feel when you are wearing your wig. If you have hair, you can always clip and pop on a wig cap. The wig cap will keep your hair secure under your wig. If you have been told you are to lose your hair, shaving your head is a very personal decision, but don't feel any pressure to do so until you are ready.
