The TOP & CROWN area of this wig has a closed, net material section. This has been expertly designed to allow the volume at this area to stay with you throughout the day, without dropping. There is also included a small, sheer MONOFILAMENT oval crown section.
There is also a soft FINISHING strip at the edge of the wig, so that it will sit comfortably against your skin.
Here is a beautifully constructed COMFORT strip. It is a soft material section which is slightly flexible, so you can adjust until it sits comfortably against your skin.
To ensure that the wig is airy, the main body has OPEN WEFTS. This means that the hair has been stitched by machine onto very thin strips of elasticated material. This design ensures that the wig is cool & lightweight.
The NAPE has a beautifully constructed COMFORT strip. It is a soft material section which will sit softly against your neckline.
This wig is secured by ADJUSTABLE VELCRO STRAPS. There is up to an inch give, so the wig can be tightened or slackened, depending upon the size of your head.
Want to learn more about the different cap types?
Read our wig cap guideThere are a few things to think about before choosing your wig but don't worry - we will help every step of the way. The first is cap size, a well-fitting wig will feel more secure and comfortable. If you're not sure how to measure, our wig size guide will show you exactly what to do.
Next, think about the length and style that best suits your lifestyle. Longer wigs can tend to need a bit more care while shorter styles are often easier to manage day to day. Then there's colour - you might prefer to stay close to your natural shade or this could be the perfect chance to try something different.
You'll also need to choose between synthetic and human hair as each has its own benefits, along with the cap construction, which can make a real difference to how natural the parting and hairline look.

Yes, you can easily change the parting if your wig features a monofilament or hand-tied cap construction, as these types offer greater flexibility as they are constructed with individual hairs hand-tied to the cap material, allowing for natural movement and versatility.
However, if your wig is synthetic, it is very unlikely that you can alter the parting effectively due to the limitations of synthetic fibres and construction methods. They are typically constructed with pre-set partings and styles, as the fibres are manufactured to maintain their shape and style. Attempting to change the parting on a synthetic wig can be challenging and may not yield satisfactory results.
A monofilament is a type of wig cap construction upon which a fine layer of transparent micro-mesh is inserted at the parting, crown or top area. Each strand of hair is then individually hand-tied to this layer of mesh to mimic natural hair growth and to give a natural appearance. They are ideal for individuals seeking a natural-looking and comfortable wig solution, whether for fashion purposes, hair loss, or medical reasons.
The key features that a monofilament wig can have, include:
- Monofilament Top: The top of the wig is made from a fine, breathable mesh material known as 'monofilament'. Individual hairs are hand-tied to the monofilament, allowing for a natural look and versatile styling.
- Monofilament Part: Only a section of the wig, typically along the parting line, is made from monofilament. This offers a more affordable option while still providing a natural look at the part.
- Monofilament Crown: The monofilament material is concentrated at the crown of the wig, giving a natural appearance at the top while the rest of the cap may be constructed from other materials.
The benefits include:
- Natural Look: The hand-tied construction and realistic scalp appearance help the wig look natural.
- Comfort: Lightweight and breathable, making it ideal for those with sensitive scalps or undergoing medical treatments.
- Styling Flexibility: The ability to part the hair in any direction allows for more styling options.
- Durability: High-quality monofilament wigs can be more durable and long-lasting compared to other wig types.

Short wigs are popular because they're lightweight, comfortable and easy to wear every day. With less hair they tend to feel cooler than longer styles making them a great choice in warmer weather or if you naturally feel the heat.
They're also quicker to style and maintain. Shorter fibres don't rub against your shoulders and clothing as much they often stay looking fresher for longer.
If you're looking for a practical, modern style that's easy to care for, a short wig is a great option. For more tips, read our guide on how to keep your head cool when wearing a wig.

Human hair wigs are made using real human hair, carefully sourced and crafted to create the most natural look and feel possible. They're loved for their soft texture, realistic movement and styling versatility making them a popular choice for those who want a wig that behaves much like their own hair.
It's worth knowing that most human hair wigs are made using hair from more than one donor. This helps create the volume and length needed for a complete wig, although it also means achieving perfectly uniform colour can be more challenging than with synthetic fibres. The quality of a human hair wig also depends on how the hair has been processed, with less processed hair generally offering the best appearance, longevity and styling performance.
