You will need a cloth tape measure. If you have any hair, push back the hair so there's no added length or volume. Start at the centre of your forehead where your natural hairline is, and you are going to measure the circumference. Drop behind the ears, to the nape, and then back up around the opposite side of your head meeting back at your starting point.

And don't worry if your head circumference measures in between the average sizes as there are adjustable straps at the back of each wig to ensure a perfect fit.

If you sweat a lot you may wish to wash your wig more frequently. Perhaps twice a week. Excess oils and sweating may irritate your scalp if you are wearing a wig. Consider wearing a wig cap to create a barrier between your sweat and the wig.

To minimize the risk of damage from sweating, consider the following tips:

• Wear a wig cap underneath your wig to help absorb sweat and protect the wig cap.
  
• Cleanse and condition your wig regularly to remove sweat, oils, and buildup.
  
• Rotate between multiple wigs to give each one time to air out and dry completely between wearings.
  

Permatease is an abbreviation for permanent teasing. It is located at the top area of the wig and has two functions. 1. To create volume and lift. 2. To hide the wefts of the cap base.

Permatease is a versatile hairstyling technique that plays a crucial role in the construction of wigs and hairpieces, helping to enhance volume, coverage, and overall appearance. By teasing the hair at the roots, permatease creates a base of support for the rest of the hair to sit on, resulting in a fuller, more voluminous appearance.

It is made up of short, matted fibres and can sometimes give a singed effect if the permatease is not lifted enough.

Fibre wigs which are worn on a daily basis, will last between four to six months. The longevity of the longer styles may be less, due to the fibres at the tips becoming rubbed against your clothes.

You are not required to remove your wig through airport security. We recommend though that you check to see if there is any metal within your cap construction. Metal may trigger sensors throughout the security. If you use metal clips of bobby pins to secure your wig it may be advisable to remove them whilst you travel.

Airport staff are accustomed to dealing with a wide range of personal accessories and clothing items during screenings. Just be prepared to cooperate with any additional inspection procedures if necessary, and you should have no problems travelling with your wig.
