They have cleverly included a sheer, central HANDTIED MONOFILAMENT PARTING. This creates the impression that the hair in this particular area, looks like it is coming from your own scalp.
There is an additional feature of a LACE FRONT. This is the ultimate for a natural hairline, creating an undetectable finish.

Read our wig cap guideYes, some people may be able to get help towards the cost of a wig, especially if they are experiencing hair loss because of a medical condition or treatment.
In the UK, you may be able to ask your GP, consultant, dermatology team or hospital team whether you are eligible for an NHS wig or support with wig costs. No, people will not be able to tell you are wearing a wig.
A well-fitting, natural-looking wig can be very discreet. Choosing the right cap size, colour, style and fibre can make a big difference to how realistic your wig looks. Features such as lace fronts, monofilament tops and rooted colours can also help create a softer, more natural appearance.
The most realistic wigs tend to have a combination of:
- A good cap fit
- A flattering colour
- A style that suits your face shape
- Natural-looking movement
- A realistic parting or hairline
- Comfortable, secure cap construction
When these details work together, the wig becomes much more discreet and easier to wear with confidence.
You will need a cloth tape measure. If you have any hair, push back the hair so there's no added length or volume. Start at the centre of your forehead where your natural hairline is, and you are going to measure the circumference. Drop behind the ears, to the nape, and then back up around the opposite side of your head meeting back at your starting point.
And don't worry if your head circumference measures in between the average sizes as there are adjustable straps at the back of each wig to ensure a perfect fit.

A monofilament is a type of wig cap construction upon which a fine layer of transparent micro-mesh is inserted at the parting, crown or top area. Each strand of hair is then individually hand-tied to this layer of mesh to mimic natural hair growth and to give a natural appearance. They are ideal for individuals seeking a natural-looking and comfortable wig solution, whether for fashion purposes, hair loss, or medical reasons.
The key features that a monofilament wig can have, include:
- Monofilament Top: The top of the wig is made from a fine, breathable mesh material known as 'monofilament'. Individual hairs are hand-tied to the monofilament, allowing for a natural look and versatile styling.
- Monofilament Part: Only a section of the wig, typically along the parting line, is made from monofilament. This offers a more affordable option while still providing a natural look at the part.
- Monofilament Crown: The monofilament material is concentrated at the crown of the wig, giving a natural appearance at the top while the rest of the cap may be constructed from other materials.
The benefits include:
- Natural Look: The hand-tied construction and realistic scalp appearance help the wig look natural.
- Comfort: Lightweight and breathable, making it ideal for those with sensitive scalps or undergoing medical treatments.
- Styling Flexibility: The ability to part the hair in any direction allows for more styling options.
- Durability: High-quality monofilament wigs can be more durable and long-lasting compared to other wig types.

Yes, you can easily change the parting if your wig features a monofilament or hand-tied cap construction, as these types offer greater flexibility as they are constructed with individual hairs hand-tied to the cap material, allowing for natural movement and versatility.
However, if your wig is synthetic, it is very unlikely that you can alter the parting effectively due to the limitations of synthetic fibres and construction methods. They are typically constructed with pre-set partings and styles, as the fibres are manufactured to maintain their shape and style. Attempting to change the parting on a synthetic wig can be challenging and may not yield satisfactory results.
