Bay wig Amore Rene of Paris

The Bay wig from the Amore collection is a shortish style, with a slightly asymmetrical fringe to add some extra style. This wig is made from synthetic fibres, which means that you will not have to worry about restyling throughout your day. The main body of the construction is wefted,  coupled with a monofilament top and a fabulous lace front. The crown layers can be tousled up for more volume, or smoothed down for a completely different look.

Size and Fit

The fringe measures 12cm and can be swept to whichever side you prefer. The crown is approximately 11cm and the nape measures about 6.5cm. The layers at the side of the Bay wig will perfectly frame underneath your cheekbones whilst the shortish nape provides neck-hugging layers, which will create the illusion that this wig has been made specifically for you.

The cap is an average size, with about an inch give at the nape. You can tighten or slacken the circumference by tightening up the adjusters at the nape.

Material and Construction

The Bay wig is created from synthetic materials, meaning the fibres have been made with artificial materials. Synthetic hair is typically more affordable than real human hair and will hold their style for much longer.

The cap construction is of a high standard, which is expected from the fabulous Amore collection. The top area is a double monofilament. Monofilaments are brilliant in that they create the illusion that the hair is coming from your own scalp. The added benefit of this design is that it is double, which means that it has a soft covering over the monofilament, which will ensure that it will sit comfortably against your scalp. We are delighted that this particular style has a lace front. If you decide to sweep your fringe to the side, then there will not be any unsightly wig edge showing at the hairline.

For this particular style, Amore have decided to switch up the double monofilament design and change the top layer to a fine netting material. Here at Simply Wigs, we consider that the double monofilament of the Bay is not as smooth due to the material being slightly thinner and less structured. This does have the benefit of creating less density towards the front of the wig but be aware that this double monofilament may not be suitable for our customers who have super sensitive scalps and full hair loss.

This is the best way to get a true representation of the wig and it will give you the opportunity to look at the style from every angle, and make a considered choice. 

The wig is relatively light, weighing approximately 2.1oz. There is a lot of volume for this style, but the actual weight is not cumbersome at all. Amore have also included a small Poly strip at the front of the wig, where you would normally locate your natural hairline. This feature helps to prevent slipping. Perfect for that extra bit of security. Modern, trendy and very realistic looking.
